    Definitely lag. Close second is not clear game intent so they left to play simpler games that give you all the tools up front but let you work on mastering it (is it supposed to be an elder scrolls game or complex MMO?)

    Gotta remember, most of the players instantly left ESO when the infamous lighting patch came out. In their quest to make a pretty game, they butchered performance hard. That butchering, made enough people leave to cause zos to switch from subscription to B2P with crown store.

    That's over simplified, but ALOT of people left when they couldn't play without laggy performance. That enough soaks speaks volume to what's important for players.

    At the end of the day a video you can't play reliably is like a car that won't get you from point a to point b without stalling; most people ditch form when the function fails in favor for things that work.

    Friend rage quit after disconnect after killing chudan.... didn't get his helm. Hasn't been back since.

    Lag has always been a big problem in ESO. I don't think they'll ever improve this significantly.

    Lag on top of imbalances. Certain classes can do better in lag than other classes on top of being better class. In the same lag, playing mDK and sNB's difference is huge. SNB is more playable in lag for me while it being a better class for example.

    Most of my friends left after the Morrowind sustain nerfs lost a lot of good friends and long time players that patch what a shame

    This new Xv1 meta combined with some people’s clients not working has caused a lot of my friends to quit.

    But my friends list is predominantly BG regulars.. and the new MMR and queue times for BG regulars has caused at least 33% of them to stop playing all together.

    some just was very annyoyed about again new proc meta

    other after patch bought new gear to tanking for new meta...just few days ago ZOS suddenly nerfed this gameplay while they cant do this with op sets on pvp and he also quitted mainly because he waster around 1m gold for this new meta gear to be useless after few days

    and another? just possibility to very cheesy builds against specific classes etc
