do i have to kill gryphons?

they are magnificent creatures... well, ok i don't have to kill them. i could skip that bit.

but in future zos could you please make the things i have to kill at least a bit unappealing?

is that too much to ask?

    They aggro when you walk by; so, they are DEAD. I got the pet Gryphon too. I don’t kill deer or frogs or snakes. Don’t aggro, stay alive. Aggro, die. Simple.

    Pretty sure they only give fresh meat. Back in my earlier days was seriel monkey killer in grathwood, but since then admened my ways

    I used to have many squirrels killing rounds...because...well..they make such a satisfactory squeak....I feel horrible now... :smiley:

    yup.... there are a number of npcs i feel bad about killing besides gryphons. giants and mammoths, senches as well.

    my favourite mount is a senche.

    mannimarco, molag bal, doshia and all those liches and wotnot i'm fine with but beautiful things like gryphons, why?

    Pocket Mammoths will occasionally make this adorable little 'phut!' noise when you kill them. :smiley: They don't do it every time though.

    They're EVERYWHERE! Look up, at the sky, that's a flying *******, waiting to swoop down, like the horrifying amalgamation of cat, bird, and murderous malice that it is.

    Sure, they're only on Summerset now, but just wait until they realize there's a host of unsuspecting food on the mainland, and then we're all screwed!

    You could stand there and let them kill you..

    If you go to a lions hunting ground they are majestic as well but they are going to wreck your day..

    Gryphons are massive carnivores that will kill and eat you. Take a screenshot; then kill them.

    It’s a general discussion about a video game. Of course it’s not “needed”.

    Nothing in this forum is “needed”, but people want to talk about stuff that’s ESO related... whatever that might be.

    I avoid killing gryphons as much as possible. They're too cool of looking creatures to slaughter.

    In other news, this thread was the first one I saw when I pulled into a parking lot just as a full summer down pour started. And my first thought was, "oh how nice, someone already made a thread for how im feeling right now."

    I see it the same way as everything in this game. They simply aren't dead. Don't believe me? Go back and see if they are still there. Before you say it's another gryphon, check out the ones with names.

    They are fine. ESO Tamriel is just a stage performance within the game. Look at all the doors and barrels that are clearly part of a set and not real to the environment. So even assuming eso were real, it's still pretend deaths.

    It would be cool to have a choice to tame them like wild horses. I don't like killing them either..

    Once I used a single target skill to kill a wolf, it pissed off a near by mud crab who decided to pinch me. So now I just murder every mud crab I see. Is that a mud crab I see? This is for pinching me, die!

    Nah you get lots of bananas. I kill them simply to watch that little ballet move they do before they die.

    I don't like killing the wolves in Summerset though when their pups are there watching. If they growl at me, I gotta whomp em.
