You guys should elaborate on why exactly the class is overperforming. Otherwise you'll only look like a bunch of whiners who dont even know why their enemy is powerful

1. Shieldstacking on full dps spec. Easy to maintain.
2. Five second 28 meter stun with insane dps or automatic stun if attacked
3. Best mobility in game with cc on it or immune to ranged attacks.
4. Proc set behaiving pets if in pet spec.
5. Best house consepth, better than Templars.
Mainly problems are the op stun mechanics and shieldstacking. You can either go full out dps and still be tanky as hell or go sustain and maintain those shields endlessly streaking forever.

Rune Cage only seems overpowered to players to who are used to blocking or roll dodging their way out of trouble. Sorcs hardly get to do either of those things, so Rune Cage doesn't seem much different than other CCs to us.
Your biased. I've encountered you in pvp. You can easily hold your own against 2 good players without breaking a sweat.
Sorcs don't need dodging and blocking when they can easily obtain 55-60k magicka and shield stack 2 damage shields with unlimited sustain. Sorcs have it pretty easy now. Shield stack like a boss, unlimited sustain, bolt when things get bad, have massive burst potential with the best execute in the game, and cast rune cage with a meteor to top it off. Give me some more tears about how Sorcs need a buff or are under performing.
Had to. The class is overperforming so much that there is literally no reason to play anything but it in duels, bgs and open world. I advise any other top tier pvp player do the samebtw this also means i retract all my previous statements about nerfing sorc

There is a Hebrew Hammer on XBox who at one point was so far and away the scariest person to come across in PVP it wasn’t even close. If you are that man ... you’re scary AF. Haha.

Since becoming a Mag Sorc main, I am averaging 15+ kills a game in BGs with no more then 2-3 deaths, am absolutely obliterating people in duels (especially stamina builds I haven’t lost to any but this snb stam dk who was using viper Sloads and Skoria) and open world I have already saved about 3 clips, even though I don’t often go into cyrodiil anymore. My build has crazy magicka and stamina sustain and I literally don’t have to change anything from Cp to NonCp.
After switching to sorc, I actually noticed exactly how little stam builds are left amongst good players. I am actively searching for stam builds to duel so I can rune cage>meteor combo them for easy wins, but there are literally maybe one or two amongst 10 magicka players dueling at a time. It’s safe to say stamina in this game is going out the window...
Overall Mag Sorc is overperforming. Playing with other sorcs in BGs and dropping multiple atros is pure cheese and absolutely demolishes anyone who comes near. Now, this isn’t to say the class is easy mode, there is no way an entry level player would be able to even moderately compete. But as an experienced pvper I found the switch to be fairly simple, taking roughly an hour to adjust to the playstyle before truly just destroying people.
TL;DR
Mag sorc is overperforming. Seriously. I wouldn’t be saying this if it wasn’t 100% true as I do not want unneeded nerfs on this game. But something needs to be done.

Idk man..day 1 magblade and I hopped on my sorc, mainly because my BG MMR takes forever to get in to a game. I think the skill ceiling is much higher for a magNB. I got on my sorc after a year and a half and I’m just dominating without food, pots, many unmorphed abilities, etc. I’m thriving in pvp with him because the class in general is overperfoming and I’m no where near a top tier sorc lol. Just my two cents. MagNB shadow image change was a huge quality of life buff that we have been asking for for years, it compliments necro like PB & JLegendaryMage wrote: »Had to. Congratulations, now do yourself a favor, make a mag NB and rename this thread into 'Officially a Mag NB Main Now'. You'll find it much more satisfying in the long run.

sorcs are weak and easy to counter, just ask all the sorcs, they will tell you how weak and easy to counter they are.

You said it yourself. You got wrecked by a bleed build and Sload.
On lower MMR you pretty much rock with any class. I've never played BGs with my stamden and now I am unstopable killing machine. And it is not caused by my class and spec being overperforming, but by my MMR being low.
But when you get to higher MMR stages with 10 minutes+ wait time, you will quickly realize that pretty much anyone in BGs runs a bleed build, Sload or Blockade with Infused staff and oblivion enchant. The environment in higher MMR BGs is very very magSorc unfriendly.
And when you start getting wrecked by Sload, you will switch to magplar just as I did. And then you will start crying on this forum that you are now a magplar main and it is OP because of cheap purge. Endless circle.

Well, the forum sure has devolved over the years.Yolokin_Swagonborn wrote: »MinarasLaure wrote: »Shimmering shield, that's all I need to have fun against sorc
Shhh, you are ruining the narrative. There are no counters to sorc. The only counter to sorc is wrobel so cry cry cry.
What has changed for Sorc? Rune cage hasn't changed other than an additional what like 2k damage? Probably a lot of MagDKs upset that they are not the only one with a hard stun like fozzilize. Luckily for them you can Talons directly after......L2P issue
But like I said, what has changed from pre-patch to now? Rune cage was the exact same before as it is now but plus a negligible damage increase. Their sustain comes from sets accessible to everyone and my stamblade and stamsorc have just as much mobility if not more than. Especially when using the shade on stamnb.
