What's the point of a 30 day campaign?

So with the new scoring system where a scroll is worth 10 times more than a keep, the scoring balance in PvP is completely broken.

For example, when the last campaign reset on EU PC sotha sil, DC PvDoored all keeps with Scrolls and temples at the start of the campaign. Put them in 3-4 keeps and waited. They haven't moved from those keeps for 2-3 days. The new scroring gave them at the start 7000 points head start, which in the end turned to around 11000 points.

So basically, for a faction to win the campaign now all it takes is to hoard the Scrolls for a few days at the start and the remaining factions will never be able to catch up with the points.

I'm by no means salty about DC winning a campaign, but what's the point trying for the remaining 20-25 days if maths is against you?

I miss the times where faction lead would change nearly every day, giving us an actual reason to capture keeps. Now a couple of days into the new campaign and the 1st place is set in stone.

Who's idea was it that instead of doing actual PvP to win we should turtle up with the Scrolls? Is this the solution to poor game performance? To make sure there is less battles going on? What is up with that?

Well what is supposed to happen is either EP or AD take back those keeps and scrolls.
You get your PvP when DC tries to defend. But players just want to sit on their own keep walls and pew pew at players on the ground instead of taking the offensive. No groups are being formed. This is entirely on lazy players who only want to AP farm.

And this is the problem. Let's say DC has all scrolls and sits turtled up. That means, all the 3-4 keeps they have are easily scouted and can be defended by a full server population at any given time. Let's say AD is trying to get their scroll back, so they go attack and are always going to be outnumbered as EP is zerging their back keeps. Have you tried taking a scroll keep at prime time lately? Trying to take a lvl5 keep with defenders using 10 coldfire balistas, 10 scattershots and 10 meatbags and 60-80 players up on the wall all wearing Sload's? It takes hours and by the time you are done one way or the other, you have lost 4-6 keeps in your back due to a red ball of hate.

And I can deal with that. What I don't agree with is the broken scoring that sets one faction so way ahead of the others within 2-3 days that the rest of the campaign might as well not be there.

It might slightly be related to this game being completely about scrolls i think.

Seriously tho, scrolls are not precious for only one faction or something. If your faction doesn't go for them this is nothing to do with ZoS.

If anything, i would love to see faction locks.
