Opened a Dead Drop and my own Illambris Set procced on me.

Damage inbound 'On Fire' for 1.8k'ish.. full Illambris animation. Dead Drop was in Summerset just south of Skyshard #18

    Do you know which relic you got from that dead drop? They often have unique animations that come from interacting with the cursed objects, some of which can cause damage.

    I checked it on a video, and it looks like The Shattering Sword is supposed to light you on fire, taking damage for a brief time. IDK why Illambros procced from that unless ZOS counted the effect as you dealing fire damage to yourself.

    It does exactly that. These dead drops are cursed relics and all of them do something to you. That particular sword damn near killed my char, the first time I found it. Ilambris' set shouldn't proc from it, though, at least, to my limited knowledge.

    yep, on fire should do it, but what was weird was the Illambris animation fired off and the damage was exactly what the tooltip says it should have been..

    Doesnt illambris proc if you stand in lava, probably counts the fire dmg from the thieves dead drop as your own etc

    I've had Groth proc of stepping in lava, so I'm not surprised.
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

    IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
    I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
    Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

    Just an update - I also had a NPC proc Grothdarr or something similar (Lava Pools erupting) under them outside the Undaunted Enclave in Mournhold after I hit them with the new Heal Wounds ability from the Psijic Order skill line.

    I was able to trigger a heal on the NPC then suddenly bam it procced something.
