log in reward

I used to play another mmo that also had a log-in reward. And what they did was, doing the weekend it was double up, but only up to that week. So you had the option to not log in 2 times, doing the week days. There was a cd on the timer for when you got it the second time. I can't remember how long it is though. I think this would be nice. I'm not trying to be ungratefull for the rewards. Free stuff is normaly a nice thing. But lets be honest, the crates are proberly the most sought after item. There is a reason why it is at the end of the month, and crates/loot boxes, are in so many games now. A pet is also nice, and some of the others can also be, depending on what you do. The gold, i would think is mostly for new players i think. I haven't played that long i think, or much. And i have a little over 200k of what i remember. 500-1k dosen't seem to be that much, compared to that, and to what i can emagine what some people have. Of course gold for loggin in is still nice. But i can emagine quite a bit of people will just log in and get it, just to get 1 or some of the items, that is comming later doing the month.

Here is another reason why i think this would be a good idea.
I have been the type that would log in to do daily's/weekly each week, to get what i wanted. This can burn you our of a game. With this game, i managed to get to the point, where i would just log in when i wanted, and had the time... And to make sure i'm still using all my research slots :) But if you compare it to daily/weekly quests. If you miss one of those, you might just postpone what you want' by 1 day/1 week. But if you miss 1 log-in day, you might completly miss out on the reward you want. Lets be honest, quite a bit of people most likely want the crate rewards. There is a reason why the 5 crates, is at the end of the month, and why loot crates are in many online games, now. So that makes it a little stressful. You feel you have to log in everyday, just to get the 1 reward you want at the end of the month. I think this can burn people out, and make them a little tired of the game. In my case, i don't have that much time to play this game. Mostly doing the weekend.. And my computer is old, so it takes a little time to start it up, and log into the game. So i have to most likely set of 5-10 mins each day, to get the 2-3 rewards i want, doing this month. Yes, no one forces me to do it, but i want the crate reward. As said, there is a reason why they are in so many games now. Thought some of the other rewards can come in handy :)
So by being able to get the reward twice doing the weekend, it can reduces some of the stress/frustration

There are fewer daily login rewards than there are days in the month, so you can miss a few days and still receive the rewards. I think the system is pretty fine, as it is.

The days I can't/don't feel like playing, I still check my email anyway. So I just start up ESO in the background, take the daily and done. Not a problem to me. And the fact there are more says then daily rewards in a month means days missed due to being out of town or such aren't a problem either, as long as they aren't to often. Think it is a fair system.

that is what my husband does. He hardly plays anymore but every morning while he is checking email simply launches clicks and closes. Takes just a couple mins.

Isn't that only this month, because the reward started at the 5th? Meaning you still have to log in every day this month, since it was added to the game, to get the last reward

I just logged in. And i see i was wrong. There are about 20 rewards this month, so yeah, you do have the option to miss out some days. Well, then there isn't a problem. Thank you, for pointing that out. I think there are 11 days left of rewards this month. And i have gotten 9. So 20 in total

I've missed a few days, and I'm still going to get everything. You can look at the top of the popup screen and see how many days before the reset, then check out how many days until the end of the list. I'm pretty sure I can still miss a day or two before I miss out on the final reward.

one thing my guild found about it is the daily rewards litterally cause massive amounts of lag.

Odd. None here. What platform? PC/EU for me. Last update got rid of the issues I was having after the update before that really screwed things up for me.

pc na but the only way we found out was a friend who has a fully maxed out alien ware computer max gaming specs across the board. had his daily reward sitting there a little bit and he was laggy so bad it was rediculous but after he collected his daily reward the lag ceased to exist. so if you let it sit long enough itll lag you into oblivion.

I'll give that a try but I often hit "login" and wander off to get coffee or something to snack on and I've never encountered this. I do NOT have a "max gaming spec" computer, in fact it's 3 years old. I'll try this this afternoon and report back.

Edit: Have been sitting here for over a half hour at the "ad" screen. Then mounted up and took a run about and no lag whatsoever. I got bored after the half hour plus but if your friend sat there longer, let me know and I'll emulate that...with a book to hand. :)
