Jewelrycrafting, the delves, unlocking and progressing through the Psijik skill line and even most of the quests - in no other zone all of that is "woven" into such tedious gameplay like it is on Summerset.
Some of the questlines need you to go from loading screen to loading screen within 10 seconds, others let you go through three or four doors in a row just to collect one item and return to sender. Just to go back and take another thing.
And the delves... I really like the new approach of the open air delves but they are so confusing and the navigation in them is so bad. And then questlines that take you back into delves after you already have finished them - something like this was barely the case in Morrowind or "Vanilla".
The next thing is the Psijik skill line. The main quest isn't bad but unlocking and progressing through the skill line... wow. Can it get worse than just traveling to different locations and click once to get the quest done? On top of that you can't quickslot the map and need to go through the menues (on console).
Did I mention Jewelrycrafting? Why is it the only profession where we need to gather pieces of stuff to get one completed piece of stuff we need to craft?
And what's with Geysirs? They don't even have remarkable or distinctive sounds. They're just there, glooming in a purple way. Where's the distinct audio for them?
Oh and let's not forget the horrible performance on consoles.
After playing for 5-10 hours I am already sick and tired of Summerset. It looks beautiful but the gameplay is so bad (not talking about stories) and repetitive.

I love love LOVE Summerset! I hate even venturing back into the slums of Deshaan and Stormhaven to even pick up pledges or deal with the Writ Vendor.
Please add pledges and writ vendor in Summerset!
Even walking the beach makes me happy!

"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”
― Robert E. Howard
I am loving Summerset!

I say starting an new character was an mistake at least if you expected leveling up like in main game.Seraphayel wrote: »Scorpiodisc wrote: »It probably just seems that way because you are trying to max out ASAP. I started a brand new character. So no, I am neither rushing nor trying to max out asap. I am doing the content in a way a "casual" with some spare time would do it. And from a gameplay perspective Summerset is just not good. A lot of stuff that artificially tries to increase the time you need to finish content.
I don't even want to compare Summerset to a usual $40 MMO expansion because it would lose to basically every other game out in the market.
Summerset just feels different than Morrowind, in a negative way. I enjoyed Morrowind a lot more and I feel like it offered a lot more diversity as well. In Summerset you really recognize all the copy and paste stuff fairly quickly.
And I really can't believe that anyone is enjoying the Psijic leveling. That's one of the worst things in game at the moment because it's absolutely pointless and has no interaction with the world or even a mentionable storyline. At least they could have waves of mobs coming out of the rifts but nothing.
I'm halfway done with Summerset and spent less than 5 hours doing quests. With a brand new character with crap gear, a slowly mount and nothing else unlocked. This is the chapter for this year? Come on. How can anybody be satisfied with this?
I am loving that I have a ton of stuff to do again in ESO! I love Summerset!
