Gardening & Farming skill line would be nice to be added in for Crafting Skills. Would Gardening & Farming work for Crafting Skills be a good addition to add to the skill line or it's just a bad idea?

Only if it would actually allow you to grow plants that can be harvested for ingredients for Potions, Food and Drinks. Maybe even allow you to raise some animals an grow plants for Clothing materials. Or grow trees for Woodworking material. Then it would a be useful skill line.

Possibly something tied to owning a home that has placement slots for planters. It's been a long while since I last played it, but a Tolkien-themed MMO had those skill lines and it was fun.

I didn't play it long but didn't Arch-age have animal husbandry and farming? I remember growing some stuff.. I'm all for it. Anything to make use of the overland world including my front yard.

I can see it being tied to a home (having a plant being an interactive 'furnishing', not doubled by ESO+, with a cooldown), but not as an actual skill.

Inb4 80 gold fertilizer mats to upgrade a potato to gold

10 seeds for 1 potato flower, 10 potato flowers for a single potato. ZOS needs money after all.

That's one of the few things I was going for.

This brings to mind the “garden” in the Arch-Mage quarters in Skyrim. It would actually be pretty cool to have a daily harvestable cache of plants at your house that double as decoration.

I think it would be cool if you could by seeds and grow materials in your homes. It would offer a nice passive farm much like the assistants. All you need to do is go collect it every day or so.

Is there anything missing from the skill line that should be added to gardening and farming?

Skyrim housing had this so it's lore. ;)

I would really love to have this as major addition in the next chapter.

Actually, garrisons in WoW was pretty good idea - you gradually build garden/mine/even fishing spot if I remember correctly, and when maxed if was enough to cover needs of casual player but not enough for crafter working for the market.

Gardening in FF1V has nice profit oriented feature:you can cross pollinate plants, and get something which cannot be got from any other source.

Similar system would be great next step in housing, though armor/weapon racks are even better.

I'd enjoy a major overhaul to housing which added farming. In general I'd enjoy seeing more incentives to invest in housing and some sort of housing progression.
