Trying StamDK now (have been Stamblade for a year) and have questions about gear traits.

So I have 6 Impen total and 1 Well-Fitted and 1 Sturdy. The well-fitted and sturdy are mainly because I'm out of transmute stones for the moment. lol For a heavy armor build will 6 Impen be sufficient? Pardon my noobness on the matter.

Just a friendly suggestion.
Everytime you think about logging into your stamdk, get a hammer and smack yourself with it, that's less painful than playing stamdk atm.

For real don't play it if you've played stamnb you will be utterly disappointed as you swap from the strongest and easiest class to use to the worst a really clunky, enemy dependent, weak stamwarden.
Play something else, anything else but don't waste your time with stamdk at this point

I usually run with 2 well fitted and a study shield,the rest impen. Once you get past 2500 crit res (cp + traits) you're good

I think you ment stamdk, stam warden would be an easier main class to swap too. Altho sload is ruining 1vx these days, no matter what u play.

I have not used a single piece of that trash set, I prefer to play outnubered on my stamden, kite ppl and bomb em with cleaves when they stakk up in chokes. Way more satisfying to actualy play smart then to get carried by a set that is op single target, with unmitigatable dmg.

I ment how stamdk is performing when compared to stamwarden.

And yeah sloads makes 1vX a pain

Thanks, Ocelot. Looks like I'm squared then. As for the rest of the replies....is StamDK really that painful right now? lol Did I just waste 2 weeks of grinding?

well, tbh. for a class that is in the frontlines, i would say that you should try to aim at 3,3 impen in CP. with all the crit dmg motifiers easily accessable trough CP and psyjic order skill, you would need 6468 to mitigate all crit dmg completely

I love Stam DK don't get me wrong. But the answer to your question is yes.
