I double checked and I do have Player vs Player combat on auto decline. I was in the Gold Coast and was about to pick up a plant and someone attacked me. I was getting damaged done. I thought he/she was mad because I picked up the plant first. I walked away and he/she still kept attacking me and I was finally able to run away.
So how could someone attack me if I have PvP on auto decline.

✭✭The only time a player can attack you without your consent is in Cyrodill Zone PvP or you had auto decline duels off and accidentally accepted a duel invite from a salty player while farming nodes it should not be possible for another player to attack you without you accepting a duel invite it could have been a nightblade NPC ive mistaken those for players since they uncloack, attack and stun you if your not paying attention you could dieXbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x

Their was a hack that allowed this way back in 2015, but I thought it was addressed in a couple of days.....I would be surprised if that returned.

✭✭✭✭✭There is no PvP toggle, only an auto decline duel setting.
You can't attack another player unless you accept a duel challenge in a PvE zone which the Gold Coast is not.
There are NPC random nightblades in the Gold Coast that will attack you if you enter their area though.

I would suggest reporting it to Zos in game as they may be able to gleam something from the incident. It may even show Zos made the correct decision to not implement the PvP part of the justice system since flagging systems are flawed.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭I don't know how Duels are accepted on PC, is it with just a single key press like 'E'? Cause on Console you have to hold the menu button down and then move the left thumbstick over to 'Yes' on the pop up wheel, which is more complicated and easily avoidable if someone suddenly duel requests you at random.
But on PC if it's as simple as pressing 'E' while you're already doing something that requires you pressing that key, then maybe someone snuck a Duel request in, you accepted without knowing, and that's how you wound up with someone beating on you. That's the only thing I can think of. Yes did that while trying to trade, once I accepted one duel from some who did not knew that he was doing as he did not fight or move out of AoE and died so probably halfway afkAs someone with duels on auto-decline, I once accidentally submitted a duel request to someone while running, tapping keys and absentmindedly doing writs. BaneOfBattler✭✭✭you said u had stolen goods, maybe u had a bounty or u opened a stolen box of goods near a guard or a npc while picking your flower near the shrine, most likely a guard saw u with a bounty sometimes u open a box and u forget if someone sees u u auto get a bounty and then u can get attack on sight by guards while u are getting a flower
