Micro freezes when weapon gylphs charges deplete

Has anyone else noticed this? This has been happening on console even prior to summerset, so im not reffering to the game freezes that have popped up since summerset launch.
Whenever a charge runs out, the game locks up for a few seconds, then when it unfreezes, the red icon displaying the need to recharge your weapon appears. Not sure what is causing this.
