He's an Orc. A not too bright adult Orc. His wife hits him too and that makes him happy if you read his later letters.

All her hard work and hopes for him, to be a great merchant, a great hero or even a reasonably successful accountant - yet still he lives at home.
Still she must cook for him and do his washing when she should be living her own life and going off picking flowers and drinking with her friends.
Ah yes it is the poor mother who is to be pitied here.

What if the player customer is also getting child abuse it could tip the customer over the edge tbh.. These devs should think before making crap like this..
So, you also don't watch movies with the protagonist being abused, or a drama where the main character dies of cancer?
It's a game man, and stories are told. They can be fun, exciting or in this case dark.
What's next? Removal of all the wolves because someone might have a familiy member who was killed by wolves?

This game is rated 18+ or am I wrong? Really, people are getting worried\offended by smallest things today, while ignoring real problems that exist in the world.
TES world was always on the fringe of dark fantasy (especially, when you get into the lore and start reading in-game literature). I suppose, there were few books in Morrowind describing child abuse and even death from first-person perspective.
It is good that authors manage to get emotion from players here. It means that people still care. Now bring that care into the real life, not some imagined world.
Suspend your disbelief. It’s a game. Otherwise the same logic would apply to many things ingrained into the lore. Racism to beast races, racism to non mer, etc etc. The dark and grit adds texture to the fantasy world, take too much out and involve irl politics and it becomes generic. No thanks.
@Chilly-McFreeze , yes, but at least she doesn't beat you.Chilly-McFreeze wrote: »Okay, I changed my mind. This thread was really eye opening. I mean, what are we even doing? Last night I picked apart one of those last giants, just because I wanted his cheese. You know, the stuff that every chef sells for a few coins.
I tried to become a better man and worked on some plantages near mournhold, but seems like those guys where friends of said giant. They quickly stabbed me in the back. That was it for me. I killed them all. Not just the men. But the women and the nixhounds as well.
Obviously the guards thought this was a bad idea. I ran from them as well. Now hiding in some thieves den with shady convicts and a bounty on my head. I don't know if I will ever be able to look my mother in the eyes. I'm a sad ***, this game is to blame for my downfall
Studies have shown 3 out of 4 non-children from made-up-races in fantasy worlds still don't actually exist.Wow, that is sad. What's even sadder is that stuff like that can feel 'normal' to a child - like when they grow up with that and see it all around them, they think that sort of thing is normal.
