Troll King - Amazing Healing Buff (my personal choice)
Blood Spawn - Excellent balance between defense and offense via Ult regen
Pirate Skeleton - Very tanky, but I’m not sure I would risk the animation and defile without a shield.
Mighty Chudan- don’t use this, your Shadow Ward passive puts this set in the ground.
Selene- A very powerful proc that layers on top of you combo.
Slime Craw- don’t use this, we have easy access to minor berserk
Kena- Insanely powerful proc, but a little tricky to use efficiently.

If you want to combine two different sets, then do one Domihaus, and one of whatever you feel your build most lacks, whether it's crit, resistance, pen, healing, recovery, etc.

Keep in mind that Selene will still do more damage than any two one-piece damage sets.

This information is taken from my recent post: "Grim's Guide to Stamina Nightblade in the Summerset Patch"

Troll king right now as Sloads counter. I run Argonian, TK, 7th legion, and use lingering health pots. Other option would be go full glass and kill quickly IMO. 1 kena 1 domi works or above proc sets. Patches ago; used to live kena and khags but khags kind of got lost in rebalances and does not help on shields where you’ll want nirhoned rather than sharpen these days.

Veli for a ganker, selenes for a brawler/ganker, troll king for better survivability, Kena for bow build, bloodspawn for brawler.

Really, there’s an endless amount of ways you can go and you can use anyone you want as pvp allows you to be much more dynamic and forgiving because there’s really no such thing as BiS for it. There’s sets that a lot of people use because they’re just too lazy to try something else out or they just don’t care and then there’s a lot of underrated sets that not much people would even think to use that would compliment certain builds even better than the so called BiS.

I disagree with @Grimick when it comes to Mighty Chudan and Slimeclaw.

Mighty Chudan can he usful if you use a 7 medium build or even 5 medium 2 light build like i do on my unique builds. 4 seconds is not long enough for your resistance buffs to stay active. There are many moments in cryodill where you might not be casting a shadow ability every 4 seconds, for instance if you use dawnbreaker and steel tornado for more group oriented gameplay. The extra resists and health is very welcome. This also allows you to not worry so much about traveling via mount and getting ganked with low resists or even just standing on a flag while its capping. Its also very easy to get caught by a cc right before your resist buffs expire. I think this set can be very forgiving even though it is not dps oriented.

Slime Claw can be nice because you can slot another skill instead of relentless focus. Personally using relentless focus every 15 seconds during combat can be annoying. Now that summon image does not require a target, it is very good utility you could add to your build if you know how to use it. Purge is also very good since haunting curse, poison injection and sloads is so common. Not to mention you can rid of marks or even incap defiles. Its very good utility. Note purge is generally a big drain on a players magicka pool, consider duel stat regen drinks and/or sets such as willowspath, seducer or shacklebreaker for more magicka sustain. I personally play an Imperial so Duel stat drinks is easy for me to use without worrying about a small health pool.

If you want to drop people like its hot id consider Seleane (hardest to land, most damage), Velidrith (easy to land, medium damage with aoe) or Zaan (maximum cheese damage).

Id like to advise to take all persons opinions with a grain of salt too. There are lots of ways to build stamblade dps. I tend to build on the more magicka oriented side and i end up killing many opponents who are not used to such unique builds and playstyles like the ones i use. Not to mention you need to build for what feels good to you, youll never be able to slap on another players build and expect the same outcome. My builds are very different from the meta and many of my friends who have asked for my builds have come back with not the best results since they are so used to the standard nightblade playstyle.

There is no 'best' monster set for pvp. But, there may be a 'best' monster set for you based on your particular build and your particular play style. That is something only you can determine through trial and error.

What is 'best' on one person may not be 'best' for someone else (even with the same build) because playstyles, reactions, reflexes, knowledge of the game, experience, etc., differ too much.

If you go kena i suggest building around the bow proc. Omg The damages. It is easy to sustain yourself at a safe distance flicking light attacks until the proc is up. I havent used leeching strikes yet (still prefer siphoning (don't wanna respec) as i have otherwise no mag regen) but that would help endure the 33% cost increase from kena.

Bloodspawn is what I'm using but also toying with malubeth, since the healing is appreciated. Works better on the snb style, which may or not be your taste.

Sometimes I will put selenes on my archer build (bone pirate, hawks eye) so that she has a chance when someone closes the gap (which i avoid for every thing) and she is forced to melee.

OMG YESSSSS!!! The damage output with Kena is crazy!!!! Most of the time, I’m getting 8-10k light attacks which means I get to save my stam for those moments I need to escape or kill someone. You could sit on top of a keep with a disease enchant on your bow and spam light attack, poison injection all day. Not to mention that I don’t even need to use snipe since my relentless focus hits just as hard as my snipe does.
