So no Devs Care to comment on how broken PVP freezing is on console?

This is bad really bad. You can’t even start a fight without 10 people around you freezing and having to relog. If you die in a populated place after freezing you have to relog onto another character the relog back to avoid long loading screens. This is pathetic.

We want an answer as to why this is happening.

Morrowind. 1 CP campaign change had 200 qued on a Tuesday night. Took over a month to correct.

Clockwork city. Long load screens from performance update. Took two works to rollback

Summerset. Game breaking freezes. Constantly crashing. Still waiting for comment one week in.

Please fix this.

But adding a new pet Mudcrab to the Crown Store for 1,200 Crowns is more important!
"One fine day in the middle of the night. Two dead Kings got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their bows... and stabbed themselves...".

This sums it all up; Crown Store generates revenue, PvP doesn't so we're dead to them. Their silence is the answer. It's sad to watch what they're doing to the game.

If i remember correctly wasn't it more like 3 and a half/4 weeks for the rollbacks for Xbox?

They always take forever to fix stuff. Almost every bug i report when a new patch drops takes at least 3 months to see a fix because it must've been deemed not important enough for an incremental fix.

The crashes on console that were supposed to be fixed with Summerset are just as bad as they were before. I've never played a video game that had constant issues like this. In B4 someone quotes this with a game I haven't played before that they will say was worse.

The people working on PVP are not the same people working on and implementing CS items.

Also it is possible the devs working on the PVP side do not know what the issue is currently and do not want to comment on the cause until they do.

These things are not always easy to fix. We need to be patient. I have confidence they will figure it out.

Then that’s what they need to say. Not completely ignore the issue. I’m tired of 1 month of broken pvp every update. Then it takes them too long to fix it.

It seems incredibly unlikely to me that this freezing issue wasn't known to them. They had to do testing, they had to realize how bad it was, but they seemed to go "Eh, it's just PVP, we'll patch it later." in the end. It really shows a loathing towards the PVP community.

Freeze sucka and restart your game yet again and a few more 100 times afterward just to make sure it doesn't freeze again freeze restart freeze restart freeze restart seriously the fact they won't even say anything about the freezing is irritating

    That is not the point.

We are frustrated because prices in the crown store keep rising and new ways for them to generate revenue (houses, furniture, radiant apex mounts etc.) keep appearing in the game and yet performance has gotten noticeably worse over time instead of better.

Why hasn't any of this increased revenue led to performance increases? Why do we constantly get worse performance and freezes/crashes after updates which are supposed to improve the game, stabilize it, and make it better?

They are making more and more money off of the crown store and not re-investing more and more into the infrastructure of the game.

    That is the issue @Defilted

It happens in PvE areas too.

If I had to guess their internal testing department is extremely small or non-existent.

This kind of bug should be considered a showstopper to a lot of degrees if it's rendering the game unplayable. I imagine it would have been pushed back but they had to release for retail. =/

I have no faith either on ZoS doing anything about it.

Also the least they could is to pin these type of game breaking features on the forum. That would be common sense for any such bigger issues.

Than again we are only console players and as long as people feed money via crown store they ain't focusing into these "features".

People should vote with wallet that is the only way they start to listen... sad but true.

I've been playing the game for about a year and a half and it seems like there has been some kind of major issue going on with the servers/game stability almost the entire time. Will we ever have a stable, well performing game? At this point it looks doubtful. There's a reason people worry every time we get an update about what they are going to break next time.

I'm not jumping on the ZoS hate bandwagon, but I am getting entirely fed up with this crap. We deserve better than this.

I agree with you but seeing as how they uploaded a patch to consoles for the Clockwork City that literally broke the game with infinite loading screens for 3 and a half weeks they will NEVER push back their updates. I'm just waiting for the one update with the little note at the bottom

Known Issue: The patch will brick your console, a fix will be coming in the next incremental patch.

Sorry, but no we dont need to be patient. We have been patient for far too many years and all the while supporting them financially hoping that they will put even just a little bit of effort into game performance, but they refuse to.

Each patch gets progressively worse and the last 2 chapter releases have completely broken pvp with not even so much of an acknowledgement from them and that's just rude to their loyal customers that just spend money on their latest chapter.

I've spent many years working in management, R&D, and tech support and it just blows my mind that people get away with this and still have a job.

Could be its not even fixable. Consoles have a fixed amount of CPU and GPU power. The game keeps getting better while the consoles stay the same. Its possible they have taken the game past the capabilities of the consoles.

In what part of that update it was actually said that they know what is causing this? It was bad with Clockwork city update and pretty much the same again just and an diffrent "feature".

They said that "some performance fixes are upcoming later this month"... that's a diffrent thing than actually saying they know and are fixing this current "feature".

The difference between PVE and PVP? Exploit in PVE - they'll take the servers down to fix/repair it. Exploit in PVP? It may get fixed in 3-6 months. Like the current exploit that lets players walk through invisible walls and enter keeps. I've seen over a dozen plus people just walk through the wall multiple times. You can't even reliably report an issue like that.

The old exploit that allowed nightblades to teleport strike through keeps by targeting the guards inside? It was in game for about a year. It was not uncommon to see groups of people exploiting it. It seemed like such a simple fix, too. Move some guards. It took a MASSIVE amount of time to be fixed, and all they had to do was move a freakin' NPC.

PVPers are the red-headed stepchildren of ESO.

It's possible but my friend who has the original Xbox One with a standard issue hard drive is experiencing the same issues I have with the One X and ESO on a SSD. I doubt that they pushed the game past the capabilities of this most powerful console of all time already.

I just was trying to be optimistic and hope that they knew what we was talking about if it doesn't fix the freezing then i guess we will continue to be screwed until they actually figure it out
