Biggest satisfactions/dissapointment with summerset?

Satisfactions:
sloads finally making an appearance
Darien returning
The prophecy in the sweetroll killer coming to a close
Elsweyr hinted as the next chapter.
Summerset is beautiful
Mephala and clavicus vile had beautiful models
Elsweyr hinted as the next chapter
Side quests were amazingly done

Dissapointments:
Nocturnal's budget cosplayer appearance
Psjiic order, the most powerful mage organization reduced to a 3 hr fetch quest with 5 minutes of actual gameplay
Where's adorable eveli shaparrow?
Shame summerset didn't have a group dungeon for most replayability.
Argonians invited into summerset

Biggest disappointment [Summerset]: super long/ infinite load screens. I'm serious when I say its a chore to relog 5-10 times just to get a character to Shimmerene Wayshrine. Any other wayshrine works fine, but I swear on every char I have the first time I go to Summerset it goes to an infinite load screen over and over. Maybe the first scene is bugged? No clue.

Biggest disappointment [General] #2: Combat bugs...That lightning staff and resto target bug is annoying every time it happens, and it happens often. That's just the start...

Biggest disappointment [General] #3: Some areas not rendering properly, surprisingly outside Summerset a lot of areas turn buggy and you can see through the walls, like in Wayrest Sewers. It's not fun finding the ground, and its terrible on the eyes.

Other than that, not too disappointed. I like Summerset...

-Furniture team is awesome
-Story again awesome
-Motifs are amazing

-Jewelry Crafting requiring 10x as may mats

I hate the damn flowers that are some weird hue of red, because they look like columbine and I go to dismount and pick up or ride over to it, but it's not columbine and you can't pick it up

feels like elder scrolls games (large, alive, detailed world to explore)

no medium sized house
to few furnishings compared to the diversity we see in the world
loading screens
culanda laquer availability
jewelcrafting platings are very hard to get

Everything from Culanda to jewelrycrafting upgrade mats to fishing foul spots is so overly grindy it's killing my enjoyment for everything else in this chapter.

I'm glad ZOS decided to cater to the people who become "first" on everything during the first week of every new DLC, and balance everything around those, and thus frustrating and annoying the 90 % rest of the playerbase. It will probably give me the required punch to move me completely away from the game.

Plus
The main quest was well done, except for Nocturnal's lacklustre appearance.
Geyser fights are fun.
The bigger delves with more to do.
Pretty landscape and beautifully modelled architecture
The Augur of the Obscure on my sideboard.
The chance to be a monkey gain, if only for a few seconds.
The ghost forest.

Minus
Far too much about the supremacist High Elves and their pathological culture.
Being targeted with racial insults.
I didn't find one single sympathetic character.
Almost no old faces outside the main quest line.
Jewellery crafting.
Everything about the Psijics except for the collectibles.
Too many instantly forgettable side quests with exposition replacing the story content.
Too many big interiors devoid of content.
The remnants of what now looks very much like unfinished content rather than future content.
And the big hint for future content was a dead Argonian who wanted to go back to Murkmire. Really?

Looking forward to Murkmire very much. Love Argonians, and the whole Hist thing just intrigues me. Not sure what I'm going to be doing for the next six months though.

Beautiful zone and interiors, perhaps the most visually appealing they have made so far
More quests with choices, even if the choices were superficial
Razum-dar
Darien Gautier
2H weapons counting for 2 set pieces
Direnni Acropolis and associated quests (since one of my characters has a Direnni background)
Hints at Tower lore in the MQ

Liked:

Sloads
New look Maormer
New motif styles
Gryphons
The Divine Prosecution

Didn't like:

Jewelry Crafting requiring 10x the upgrade/trait mats
Rarity of awesome new motif style pages
Nocturnal's appearance
Psijic Order reduced to fetch quests
Geysers just don't have the same epic feel as Dolmens
New look Maormer not making it into base game areas
Lack of Telenger the Artificer

Disappointment-

Jewelry Crafting requiring 10x more mats to improve a single item than is needed for wood, iron, or cloth.

Not only that, but the drop rate for improvement mats while refining jewelry ore is horrible.

I can understand the reasoning for this when it comes to the mats that improve jewelry to gold, but definitely not for the other mats.

I'll keep it to one each.

Biggest satisfaction: Summerset is beautiful, and the QoL changes, like 2h'ers counting as a two piece are wonderful.

Biggest disappointment: The game wide lag and constant crashes after promised improvement, especially in Cyrodiil.

I think my biggest disappointment was one that was unmentioned by anyone else. The fact that Razum'dar's dialog was clearly written by someone who didn't know his style of speech well at all. The way his lines were clearly to force the quest rather than to gently 'engage' you in the plot was terrible, and such a disappointment after his fine dialog in other places. They need to keep characters' dialog closer to the original unless there's very good reason for it to change.

Satisfaction: Abyssal Geysers are a lot better live with lots of people running them. I was very underwhelmed on the PTS, love them on Live.

Diappointment: the main quest had some pacing issues, just a few quests that dragged when they needed to be ramping up the urgency plot wise,

My biggest disappointment is definitely the Psijic order quest line. I was hoping for so much more than repetitive portal synergising. At least the Augur had some interesting things to say.

Another minor disappointment (probably more of a point of confusion but anyway): Why is the letter 'C' before 'i' and 'e' now pronounced with a hard ('k') sound instead of a soft ('s') sound? Do the Altmer of the main island pronounce things differently? Is that how they can tell you're an Altmer that's not from there?

And then there are the usual annoying bugs and balance changes which I'm hoping will be addressed in later patches. Other than that, I really enjoyed the zone for the most part

Enjoyed:

The quests, they were superior to anything in recent DLC/chapters and on par with (perhaps even a little better than) Orsinium's quests: darker, more complex, less predictable, allowed for choices and added to the game's lore in interesting and unexpected ways
Corgrad, Ebon Stadmont, the Direnni Acropolis and the main quest in particular
The scenery; although many complained it doesn't look like the older descriptions of Summerset, I think the island is truly lovely; they captured that high fantasy"Elven paradise" feel
The Big-Eared Ginger Kitten pet
Razum-Dar
Darien returning
The characters overall felt more life-like and less like 2-dimensional information dispensers *coughSeryncough*
Mephala looked awesome
And so did her realm
The segment with the Crystal Tower rocked
It was nice to see the Sloads up-close at last

Didn't enjoy:

Nocturnal's budget cosplayer appearance (did you guys run out of time and decided to slap a costume on a Redguard and call it a day?)
The grind for the Big-Eared Ginger Kitten pet
The various grinds in general: Psijic questline, motifs, Jewellery crafting!
The Psijic Order questline lacked the depth and variety of the MG/FG questlines.
The contrived reason Queen Ayrenn couldn't participate and had to have a stand-in, when we know the real reason: Kate Beckinsale is too expensive to bring back
Geysers are boring: no music, same enemies. Dolmens are better.
No ruthless choice at the end of the Corgrad quest

you need to add the severe lack of extremely bad bugs being fixed that have been around for ages

Summerset looks absolutely gorgeous. The world and item designers did an AMAZING job; such an amazing job, in fact, that I felt compelled to purchase the new large home. I’ve NEVER felt the need to own any expensive crown store houses, but this one tipped the scales for me. Other highlights include the main quest line, Raz (squee!), and the utterly hilarious Augur of the Obscure.

Not so great? Performance.

I am SO TIRED of constantly freezing and stuttering... Jewellery crafting is way too grindy. Also, levelling the Psijic line is so boring and needlessly complicated. Mages guild is boring too, but at least it’s less of a hassle.

Satisfactions:
Beautiful overland.
Immersion. Playing as a High Elf feels really special, there are a tons of special dialogues for your race.
Battleground for everyone.
Mephala looks amazing. 100% would date.
The change to 2H weapons makes my dream come too.
Combat changes are positive. Enjoying other classes right now not just MagDK.
Hexagon guy is funny.

Dissappointments:
NO QUEEN ARYENN

MY QUEENNNNNN

Disneyland architecture makes it look more like Breton's than Altmer's.
Couldn't talk with Raz about our previous adventures.
Nocturnal's appearance is the very definition of OMEGALUL

Look, feel of Summerset is amazing, kudos to the art department.

CON:
We Lose Darien... AGAIN!!

I want a DLC that we can get some payback on Meridia for what she's done!!
Nocturnal's appearance... what happened??? Such a huge disparity between the artists who did Summerset and the artist who did Nocturnal?!? ZOS, please fix this!!!

It's towards the end of the Gold Coast / DB quest lines. There are a lot of prerequisites to starting the Sweetroll Killer quest. I think it would probably be best if you looked on a wiki like UESP to get all the details.

I have to agree on this. Razumdar was much more serious and straightforward than hes been in the past; at one point he addresses that and says something like "this is my job, i have to take it seriously, things are really bad". And i get that. But, If its so bad where tf was Ayrenn? Raz was out of character for soo long. and we didnt see any of his clever tricks/ploys advancing the story or surprising you. He was more like just a guy to report back to.

edit: overall i love summerset and while raz coulda been more playful it was still a decent msq.
