ESO seems to be in good health (11 million players now) and does not need to fear any other game. For me I will play TES6 but never quit ESO for it.

It would build Hype around ESO, showing off how much it has changed and improved
AND it would bring more to the table of the presentation. Making Bethesda look better.

From what I understood from what was said - yes.
It's an always online game running off dedicated server's, that when you log into the game you're put into an "instance" that has you and X other players - limited # of players, rather than full open world MMO. You have no control over who you're playing with, unless you group up with friends/family/guildies/etc who then play on you're instance... and since instance sizes are limited, this will limit the # of slots to random players.
The game itself is open world open pvp. So any player you come across can either help you out, ignore you, or PvP you. It means that any other player in your instance can steal from your 'territory' if they want, kill you if they want... or ultimately nuke your base if they get access to the nukes.
And you can not stop this from happening since the game is always online. There is no singleplayer play by yourself offline. You have to play online. You have to connect to their dedicated servers. You have to deal with other random players, unless you can group with enough ppl you trust to ensure no random ppl are in the same instance as you.

9 Million players are lying on the ground with little plus-signs hovering over them.

It always does. Maybe releasing the Chapters farther into the year would give them more hype. Though if the 11 million comment is to be taken seriously (who knows how theyre counting that). Maybe they dont need to.

Well, most of them aren't playing anymore, because ZOS does count as well those accounts, which were just free trial accounts. The russian guild, I am in, all of them have left meanwhile - and so is the other guild, which I inherited. The more exciting message was the "1 million alone within the last year" - and they will be able to say this next year as well, if not even more though, because Tamriel Unlimited just got part of the "game pass" offers on Xbox, so a myriad of people will make new accounts on ESO's Xbox servers.

I was wondering if those 1 million counted how many Morrowind sales they made since that had the base game baked into it. Im sure its exaggerated. I just wish we knew exactly what they meant when they throw around these numbers.
Would require them to shift the schedule and move the chapter to autumn.ChildOfLight wrote: »@Iccotak
I can totally agree this ladder could have worked better to create hype, pushing more players towards the game, showing the progress done over these years.

The new trailed looked great nonetheless!

We've been asking for series like TES and Fallout to have optional co-op for so many years and they give us a Rust-like Fallout game and that's like the worst kind of PvP. This game will have hackers and cheaters, big groups dominating the world or griefing smaller groups/solo players, insecure and angry kids being toxic and dropping nukes all over the world, etc.adriant1978 wrote: »Fallout 76 is world PvP, right? It's almost like there's an extensive history of games which do sandbox PvP in which examples of how things will go could have been drawn from. We've been asking for series like TES and Fallout to have optional co-op for so many years and they give us a Rust-like Fallout game and that's like the worst kind of PvP. Yeah, I too will pass on this one.
