Is it just me or does new mobile Elder Scroll game look better than our current MMO? Graphically speaking. It seems to have better captured the immersion of the Elder Scrolls series. I do understand that since it is not an MMO it has more room but it looks more like a classic ES game and it's on the phone.

Honestly it looked cheap and tacky to me, I normally love anything that Bethesda can throw at me, but this just didn't feel right.

I am conflicted. It does look awesome, but I am tired of being forced into a role, a typical role of an Empire worshipping lackey.

Seeing the Thalmor banner in that town and knowing that I am a blade, tells me everything I need to know: Typical Thalmor hater story. Seems they aren't aware that not everyone loves to serve the Empire.
I'm trying to swallow it and try to pretend I am not a blade and enjoy it anyway.

Who the heck wants to play a game like that on a phone?
Might play it on a PC, though.

I think it looked amazing, I'm just astounded that they were so interested in marketing it for phones.

Well, he did say that you did serve the Empire but that you then went rogue.

For a mobile game it looks absolutely insane, and it's free which is awesome.

It looks so good I almost don't believe it. Can't wait to try it out. Hopefully it has good performance on an iPhone 8 and iPad Air 2.

This is a vague statement and I am skeptical :) The Empire is always pictured as the shiny knight in all games, while it's really not if you look underneath the armor.

I hope I am not being confronted with this Empire stuff all the time, because that game looks awesome. I always wanted a nice and grindy Elder Scrolls game :)

Probably more than 2 years. I think the only reason they "announced" TES 6 is because people keep asking for it and weren't getting the message. It is the third of three games, and Starfield isn't even to the point where they can really show game footage. Now, of course, they will say that it has been announced, so where is it?

The big elder scrolls news was not TES 6, but Blades.

It’s “Free” which means it’s gonna be stuffed full of micro transactions unless you want a grind worse than ESO has ever had, and even then you probably won’t be able to progress very far. Just my prediction.

Fallout Shelter meets ESO monetization. You get to build your town, and this is the real focus of the game, he says. That means custom building packs available for sale. If you don't want your town to look like a collection of refrigerator boxes, you pay.

Hmmm ... yes, probably. I don't think I'll be downloading Blades unless I hear it's not like that. I'd literally just rather pay for the game up front like with Skyrim that fool with all that nonsense.

Fallout Shelter plays quite well without having to make purchases. Fingers crossed ES:Blades is the same.

Fallout Shelter is really playable without buying the lunch boxes, and apparently it brings in tons of cash. Boring as hell, but that is the nature of that sort of game. If they can do that with Blades, and make it not as boring, maybe they can monetize it in a reasonable manner. Maybe without needing full screen ads when you log in, limited time sales, and other cutting edge screwy ideas, like we get with ESO.

While this thread started as a comparison between TES: Blades and ESO, it's clearly more about other games, so we've decided to close it. You should join the discussion about Blades here: https://bethesda.net/community/category/243/general-discussion
