When will this happen? Do we know an estimate time? Please! I have a house I have so many plans for, but I am beeing completely blocked by the item limit. So I would like to know if I should scrap the plans and make something else, or wait?

Yup, item limit reached. My house looks like a mishmash of battle trophies, banners, and various statuary that's gone up for sale on the weekly merchant...

    It looks like a museum.

I'm having to pack away plants and rocks just to place another earned item. 700/700 baby :p

I am eagerly awaiting the item limit increase too!

ZoS adds so many neat small items (look at all the urns, jewelry boxes, knick-knacks, tiny gears etc) and we just don't have the space in our homes:(

I know it is rare to get an actual ETA but could you maybe give us a hint?

You really just have to have ESO+ to have a full house and it feels unfair to me.

I honestly would like to know how most of you are reaching item caps? Specifically, how are you finding enough recipes and enough mats to fill houses to max item?

The manors aren't much bigger than the largest large houses (if at all). They both need an increase to the cap.

We care for details, not just place bed and table. We do things like prepare 12 sets of platters and cups for whole guild meeting. Put food on the table, a pile of potatoes on grill, fill bookcases with actual readable books. Decorating bedroom? Extra pillows are a must.

Each item takes 1 item space. A tiny potato will take same number of spots as gigantic tree....

I buy all my recipes/items from guild traders. And most of the furniture limit is taken up by plants, rocks, buiding materials, etc. that you can buy en masse from vendors.

Do you even have a house? Are you even interested in furnishing it?

Reaching item caps happens way too fast, and far before you have a home that you are happy with....as anyone who actually does have a passion for their houses will agree with.

Hmmm, maybe you aren't taking into account the huge number of items you can buy on guild traders and on Crown Store....it's not just about recipes and mats.

Hundings isn't even the biggest large house. Mathiisen Manor and Forsaken Fortress are both bigger, and very comparable to the manors in size. Hundings, Mathiisen, Forsaken, and Strident Springs have the same sized garden as Daggefall Overlook and Ebonheart Manor (it takes around 70 seconds to walk around the perimeter of each). Indoors, Mathiisen Manor and Forsaken Fortress are very close to the the manors in size (it's hard to quantify due to the different layouts). The only manor with a substantially bigger garden is Serentiy Springs.

Yes, I own five houses. I refuse to buy housing items from the store. I have three toons, play 3-4 hours nightly. I don't have enough variety of recipes to fully decorate a house to my liking. I scour the guild stores from time to time, but the recipes I really want are far too expensive. Furthermore, the mat cost for many if not most recipes is far too high. They failed with making mats a farming fest, and they failed with putting "quality" tiers on recipes allowing price inflation just because it's a "epic" recipe.

Here's an example. I've been waiting to loot a Nord Divider recipe since housing launched. Do you think I've found one yet? Nope. Guild stores have them, but I don't want to pay the price they are asking. It's a DIVIDER for crying out loud. There thousands of recipes out there, yet why aren't they dropping? Why are common house furnishing recipes so rare?

Bottom line, housing is fun, laid back, and purely creative and enjoyable. Yet they treat it like end-game gear grind. There are several games who do housing better, ESO refused to learn from these games and instead made it a point to push people to their store.

Then make more money! The market is fine. Prices are set at what people are willing to pay. I bought most of my recipes and items during the first week of the homestead patch (I was paying 20k for green recipes, 50k blue, 100k purple; spent close to 2 million gold just on furniture). The prices are extremely reasonable right now. If you can't afford them, you need to do some reading on how to make money in this game (it's super easy).

    npc furnishing vendor.

rocks, bricks, trees, flowers, brushes, many of them are 100g a piece and useful for making your garden.

achievement furnishing, like fishing boat, fake skyshard, soul gem, hist tree, alliance flags and banners, ram and ballista and oil cauldron, molag bal statue, azura statue, reaper march lion statue, valenwood brazier, treasure chest, lockbox, pile of coins, tamriel map, emperor throne, decoy elder scroll, those are unlocked according to what you have done in the game, and can be bought mostly at affordable price. good way to personalize your house with your in game achievements.

and luxury furnishing. many goodies there and not all of them expensive. like, glowinh flowers were only 2500g a piece so i bought 40. 40 slots taken in my house just for one type of flowers.

    - Farm imperial mobs inside public dungeons (Razaak's Wheel, Vile Manse, and Crimson Cove)
    - Farm weapons and gear inside public dungeons (Necropotence, Spriggans, Spinners); you also make money from killing the mobs in the dungeon while you wait for bosses to respawn (find a rotation of 3 bosses since loot drops go on cooldown when you kill more than that)
    - Farm mats (download Harvest Map add-on, and follow steps to upload all nodes in Tamriel); you'll need farming gear (prisoner's, jailbreaker, drakstride, fiord, etc.) and a movement speed ability for this (rapid manuevers is fine if you don't play a stam character with your own gap closer/movement buff)
    - Flip things (check guild stores for underpriced items and flip them at Master Merchant/TTC value)

For the last two options, you'll need to be in a trading guild. You can easily make ~1 million gold a week using any of these methods.

Just sub, you'll get more spots. Complain if you want, it won't help. Don't you all see at this point that they are driving you to sub if you want to really enjoy the game?

I'm just gonna copy/paste this all over these threads.
I would suggest doubling the initial capacity for everyone first at no cost. So for example for Hunding's Palatial Hall would become 600 slots for non-subbers and 1200 for subbers. And anything extra would be like bag/bank space : for gold (would have to be expensive and create another gold sink I guess) or for Crowns. I'm aware that they need to make money, but as it is now it's just ridiculous. Subbers complain that even 600 isn't enough, so even if you increased the non-sub limit to 600, it would still be an incentive to sub/buy more slots.

It IS possible to fill the large houses and manors with ESO+. You just have to pick larger over small items, don't place that many bottles and small items. I can say that, I furnished Mathiisen. Choose a focus on either interior or exterior decoration and be creative with larger items to fill those naked walls.

If you want to place many small items and details, get a smaller one of the large houses, like the nord manor next to Riften. That's the only purpose to pick those over the huge ones.

I have to admit that the decoration feels very restricted and the item calculations aren't always fun. I'd like to place more items, too, but the problem is that nobody would buy a second or third house, if he could realise all his visions in one single house. Housing doesn't have to become a money sink; it already is. I'm already planning on my third and fourth manor ;)

I haven't actually bought a house yet but that's because I plan on having a house for each of my alts. And I don't know who is getting what, yet. So yes, I would buy more houses because each of my characters are different and thus would have different homes to suit them.
