They've got veiny, more blue-looking skin, light-reactive eyes and finned ears. I have mixed feelings about it, for I adore the vanilla maormer found throughout Aldmeri Dominion territory/on Khenarthi's Roost.
I find the eyes delightful, though a little 'eh-eh' at the same time. The idea that they're so light reactive is cool and plays into the whole (pardon the derogatory speech) 'fish-elf' aspect. It reminds me of deep-sea creatures. The finned ears seem... kind of pointless- more aesthetic than anything...? Their skin- well. On the one hand it looks the same, on the other hand it looks more 'colored' than before. The veins are an interesting addition though, given they've been described as having colorless skin like 'limpid jelly' or something.
Shame they didn't implement any immediately-accessible Maormer/Pyandonean wearables/skins/etc. I know Pyandonean motifs are about now, (I came into a legs motif from the psijic crate) but still. They're so interesting and enigmatic, yet they're a good-sized part of the Aldmeri Dominion faction storyline (you can find them almost everywhere in Aldmeri Dominion territory, most of which are permanent respawning enemies.) as well as in Hew's Bane. I know there's Sea-Viper costumes, but those get destroyed if you get knocked around.
I'm not unappreciative of them being included in Summerset, and for the Pyandonean motifs, but I just wish there was more for us to play with/use, you know?
What do you think? Casting lore aside of course.
