At Which patch do you think this game was the most balanced?

In my Opinion, Clockwork City was the most balanced the game has been. The Proc Meta meta has been recently done away with, and heavy armor was put in a more balanced place. Since then they keep adding more and more prices sets like Sloan’s and Zaan. What is your guy’s opinion?

    Thieves Guild
    • right before poisons were added
    • right before heavy armor buffs
    • only proc set was Vicious Death
    • every class felt competitive, magicka and stamina, except for magic DK

Not sure if 1.6 was the most balanced but it sure was the most fun.

    + Homestead.

Every spec had a fun and strong ("OP") option, everything was viable OW, stand your ground mobility, burst vs burn etc.

    1.5 by far.

And first couple months of 1.6 before nirn bug and 1k cp players.

1.4 was also nice too before even monster sets added to game. True vanilla game version there.

    pre-Imperial city 1.6

this is where combat felt the best even though it had issues.

2nd best was imperial city release. was an amazing thing to experience.

1.6 has its nostalgia but it was not the most balanced at all. Ridiculous shields, proxy det was broken, had bugs that one shotted vamps, dk and Templar (sorcs and nbs online) was damn near extinct, dawnbreakers hit players for 20k plus, speed cap had players moving like sonic, perma dodge rolling etc.

Yeah I think it’s a combination of nostalgia and most people not having good gear at the time that makes people say 1.6.

It was probably thieves guild or wrothgar. In my opinion the game took a turn for the worse when dark brotherhood came out. The only real problems I felt thieves guild had was the dominance of mag sorc. Solo play was alot more friendly. The only proc set was skoria and only tanks used heavy armor. Dueling was also fun back then because there was no real absurd builds we basically all ran crafted sets and had to rely on abilities to kill each other. I just can't get behind all these proc sets and resource poisons we have now. I still don't use them I just basically build for max stats same as I've always done
