So...when the jewelry crafting writs are fixed, how are we going to be compensated?

Jewelry crafting writs aren't giving out inspiration, which sucks ass as they're supposed to give a relatively large amount.

Those of us that complete the writs every day are getting very little (a single ornate ring is NOT a suitable reward when it's basically all by itself), and by the time the writs are fixed so that they give inspiration out correctly, who knows how much inspiration we should have gotten by that point, but didn't get?

To remedy this, I propose that when they are fixed, we should all be sent a shipment through the in-game mail that contains some CP160 legendary intricate necklaces for deconstruction. That should make up for all the inspiration we missed out on.

    Bug or ‘feature’?

Obviously bug, but has ZOS confirmed they intend to fix it? Leveling jewelry crafting was meant to be slow after all...

Still, I like your idea of crate of deconstructable intricates (although not legendary) to make up for all the lost inspiration. Or maybe they can send a potion of 30 minute 200% Inspiration gain. My guess is there won’t be compensation even if there is a fix though.

They have confirmed they are testing a fix. I'm hoping it will be in this week's maintenance.

Level 1 writs are working (the ones where you make pewter items), but the other levels apparently are giving inspiration to enchanting.

I'm hoping they can simply retroactively assign the inspiration we didn't get, but the OP's suggestion is not bad either.

It would be nice, but I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for compensation. It seems like it would be a hassle to tally up who has done x number of writs and provide accurate amounts of inspiration. The deconstructable jewelry would be a nice gesture, though...

I agree with @srfrogg23 that I wouldn't hold your breath. I do crafting writs on 10 characters every day and for the ones that I have taken points in jewelry crafting, I get nothing for inspiration. At this rate my other characters will catch up to my main crafter, whom I worked hard to deconstruct every jewelry item I could find to get her level up to 32.

I am very disappointed in the way ZOS has handled this bug, "will be fixed in the next incremental patch." If it were a bug/exploit where people were getting too much xp from doing something ZOS would have shut down the server or come out with a bug fix in a heartbeat. But when it comes to something that gives us the xp/inspiration that we deserve and should have earned, ZOS is in no hurry to fix the bug.

You must be new here. ZOS doesn't do compensation.

You know, I can't really remember a single time players were "compensated" for doing bugged content.

I have a few remarks here:

    1. The playerbase SHOULD get something back, even if it’s just a mail full of intricates.

    2. ZOS isn’t going to do that because ZOS.

    3. People coming to the forums crying “what am I gonna get out of this???” is crass as all get out.

    4. Stop feeling entitled and getting mad when you get the result you knew was coming. (E.g. ZOS not compensating for a bug.)

We likely are not going to be compensated.
It is not a huge thing issue that is hindering game play a great deal.

We absolutely should be compensated, and while they're at it maybe work something in to let us spend all our wasted inspiration from max level writs everyday. 20k in inspiration each writ every day that goes nowhere. Let us spend it on rare mats or something

The matts and gold we get is the reason for doing writs once one hits max level. heck, the gold alone for the few moments of effort is good value.

I want compensation for over 250 Max tier JC writs as well, since I only got 2 Legendary grains out of all of them

Just because you had to pay extra to use this crafting profession doesn't mean you get compensated for this known glitch, I believe is their position.

While this is an issue that needs fixing, I'm far more concerned about the state of Jewelry Crafting Master Writs.

The number of vouchers is so meager given the 10x increased cost of materials needed to craft. Because of that, JC Master Writs are pretty much not worth crafting.

We need more vouchers for JC Master Writs.

I wondered why all of the JC writ rewards are dropping as ornate. Retrospective compensation seems a tad excessive but I wouldn't say no if it happened :)

this is so true... 7 vouchers for an epic platinum trail by fire... i dont think i even have the mats to make one purple yet,.

the whole 10x thing was not integrated well at all into the larger scope of the crafting or the game.

That is of course ignoring the basic idea that every other piece of worn or carrier weapon doesn't break the game at the normal crafting levels.
