Question concerning pvp defensive tick credit

Does the game treat crashes and logging out as the same thing? I'm sure you all see where I'm going with this. If that is the case you would lose a large amount of ap... and I bring this up as I can't seem to not crash even in the smallest conflict.

✭✭✭✭✭Yes, getting disconnected or crashing loses you the defensive credit just like logging out. I get crashed out to the log-in screen usually once or twice on a good night and thus lose out on the D tick if I had credit active. But on the other hand, I'm not sure how the game would track credit through logging out.
The only real solution for me is to not have rural internet or for ZOS to solve the crashes in heavy fighting. I'm not moving out of the corn fields anytime soon, so I figure I'll just live with it.0
