No surprise that Nightblade is the most popular choice, people are obsessed with evil.

Me, I pick Warden because even though it's probably arguably the worst class for PVE, I find it's still FUN to play and that's more important to me.
    Hoping for more playable races

Whatever problems Warden has, I still prefer this class over everyone else. Just like it. I don't know why, but I like it the most

It's because people like simple and warden isn't as simple as the other classes/builds. Also people don't like pets as they are often off on their own attacking targets that you aren't involved with (don't give me this Y+left click BS, do you seriously do this while you are attacking something? No, no you do not.). People only gravitate to pet sorc due to point 1: they are incredibly simple (wall of elements>heavy attack>repeat).

Maybe you're right, because I've tried Sorc but couldn't get same playstyle.

Why is nightblade so popular? Never tried it but if the poll applies to the game it's around 1/3 of all players that choose nightblade. That is a lot, if you have 5 unique classes and 33% cater to one. Why?

    Nightblade
Nightblade. I mean, I like summoning, but not nearly as much as stealth.

Hell, even in the single player games that is how I normally end up playing. A sneaky archer/fighter, with spell casting for utilities and healing.

As far as TES classes go, Nightblades after all are just a slightly more magic focused Bard class, and Bards themselves are simply TES's Jack of all Trades class.

    None.

I wouldn't spend the money on a game I don't particularly like anyway.

Well... Technically all the classes in ESO are mages.

    Hi,

I have only one class and I intend to play that one only.

    Why?

It's very simple. If you want to be good at something, you simply have to do it. If you split your time continuously between a number of different activities, in this case other toons, you'll never going to master any of them. You can be good with all of them, but you're not going to be the best in all. Claiming you can is just the ego speaking. It's like trying to be 100% on guitar, piano, cello, drums and what not.

One cannot possibly master everything to the max. Some claim it's possible, but then again it's much better to find what you like and keep doing it.

In the past I've spent far too much time making toons in other games and constantly swapping between them and it ended up with me not being good at any of them, not having all of them properly equipped, or Jack of all Trades, Master of None I believe it's called.

Advice I would always give based on my own experience also: play one toon, study it, learn it, master it.

I'm thinking of switching my main, research traits and all on a new character. I main a healer but properly geared DPS won't need a healer just a selfsustaining tank that actually play as a tank and you go through veteran dungeons like a hot knife through butter.

I got a sorcerer DPS. I love the toughness, but I also like min maxing and Nightblade seems to be top tier DPS and also good at other roles.

    Maybe I'll roll one :)

Dragonknight. I play PS4 which is better version of the game, Large TV and simple controls. Go pure health beserker with stamina /health food buff. Werewolf 7 heavy 3 piece warlock jewelry and onehand/sword shield and 5 plague doctor or 7th legion brute Imo or any heavy set if health is around 40k. Hircines rage and claws of agony anguish w/e. I literally just use one bar only and use sword shield heroic slash or piece armor taunt, scales for more defense and dragons blood along with igneous weapons and so on. Dragons blood, igneous weapons spell/weapon damage buff, scales /spiked armor all transfer to werewolf for buffs. I just get ultimate and am immortal in non-CP battlegrounds vs even 4 players vs me often and still wreck almost anyone with just light attacks besides one claw agony /anguish basically. Some CP maxed players can kill me of course but is hard. Also CP helps balance the game but hopefully they change it later on because non-CP is hilarious. Werewolf tanks with warlock sets/ lich or a good defensive magicka set incase and full heavy of whatever set and will take whole enemy team to kill me if their lucky :). Without CP werewolf would dominate entire game as gods. People say Werewolf sucks but it actually is incredibly overpowered with non-CP. Easily go 15\1 or 20\0 in a battleground without a healer. Unless we get Gargoyle form from Lord Harkon or his family besides entombed serana of course when western Skyrim opens up will always play werewolf. ESO Vampires from weak lamae bloodline was meant to be magicka based obviously but Volkihar bloodline is brute force strain and the strongest known Vampire bloodline as Lord Harkon was basically a demi-god lore wise. Went off topic sorta but ya Werewolf would be my pref class until stamina Vampires \hybrid magicka stamina is a thing. I consider vampire and werewolf a class for the most part if your playstyle revolves around its skills:)

Seems like a nice balance amongst templar, sorcerer and nightblade. Nightblade is an awesome DPS but hasn't always been the best I personally think nightblade as a class cater to more people because of a cool assassin concept.

When it comes to tanks in ESO they are very rare. Somethings feel off about the supportroles tank and healer, they don't appeal to people. Personally I think it's because it's poorly implemented and it makes solo play less fun. Also nothing aggregates me like DPS who can't pull numbers when I know I could cary my veteran group on my sorcerer in a PUG but with my healer I'm out of luck.

Magden, Pretty much the only thing i have played since Morrowind came out. Great survivability and can pretty much do every role. Sure DPS could be a bit better, and the bear ult can be a hindrance at times, but still a great class all around.

I can’t stand to play my first character anymore, a magsorc that I use for crafting.

No matter what nerfs come to the Warden (Birds, Beetles, Trees...) I’ll keep playing them.

With the new update I’m able to get 40k DPS on mine now with super basic gear like Julianos and Necro :grimace:

I love healing on it in pvp with snares and Corrupting Pollen.

Hard as hell question. I'm almost tied Templar with Warden. I'm not done exploring the Warden, so I may change.

I love healing and support a lot, and the Templar is great at it, I adore the skills.
But, I love magic, and having animal companions. So Warden-like classes are usually my jam in games, but I just feel the ESO Warden falls a tad flat.

Templar has always been my main (cuz healer) but nightblade has always been my favorite class (harking from running around in skyrim on a sneaky khajiit). So if I had to pick just one.... I'd go nightblade.

    I like tanking.

TBH, I might actually choose templar since it seems more flexible. I'm a little biased towards DK because it was my first character from launch. And a dragon-based character is much cooler than some quasi-religious class.
