Problem with the ending of Summerset

First off let me say I loved the story line for Summerset. But I have one major issue. I will put this in a spoiler tag for those who may not have completed the Summerset main quest line.

So at the end of Summerset, we lose Darien once again. Though this is a sad moment, I have one major issue. Gabrielle Benele is in the Anvil Mages guild since Dark Brotherhood was released, and has some dialogue about looking for Darien. Since he returned, and passed, in Summerset, I went back to her to see if there was any additional dialogue with her telling her what happened, but there isn't. Why not? She has been looking for him since we beat Molag Bal! We should have been able to tell here what happened to him with Summerset.

Seems to me this was a major oversight, and could have been a great way to have conclusion.

I agree.

Seems a little bit of an oversight.

I like Gabrielle. She's one of my favourite characters in the game. It would have been nice to offer her some closure.

They never add additional VO or dialogue options to older content. Nothing in the base game would reflect a character’s actions in any of the future DLCs

Um, did you read the book upstairs in the Palace? If you do, it changes her dialogue.

I'll have to test this out as I currently have a character that has finished Summerset and another who hasn't.

Anyone else talk to Darien when he was following you, every time another step in the quest happened? It was interesting seeing what he said, he was surprisingly updated to say something new almost every stage of all the quests he was in.

Always had a way to make the gloomy situation feel better.

Yes I did read the book upstairs, but Gabrielle's dialogue didn't change for me.

At the moment a lot of the dialogue that is supposed to change (depending on previously completed content) is bugged for a lot of people. For some it works just fine, but reading the forums it seems a 50/50 at the moment. Shame, as I will probably complete the Summerset story line on my alts before it gets patched out.

I was actually hoping for and a little dissapointed that Kate Beckinsale *cough did not at any point show up in Summerset. But I guess that's a little hard unless it's worth hiring her again. /cry
