Need help crunching numbers, something isn't adding up properly in my game.

I rarely crit more than 4k with my concealed weapon, despite having over a 10k on the tooltip and 14k pen with mark? (this is in PVPland) I have tried tanky builds on my end, even going so far as 30k+ resistances, minor maim, and minor protection thus losing any ability to do damage yet still get hit harder than my DD toon deals against most toons. I am considering uninstalling completely and reinstalling to fix this. It is tiresome.
54k mag, about 2k buffed spell damage, and 14k spell penetration with piercing mark up, 43% crit(unbuffed) oh, and minor berserk
