Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Do you think ESO should remberse pre-ordering customers for time spent on server down maintenance ?

The downtime has been far from what I expected (day-1 I played all day without one issue or downtime). We are sooooo far above normal MMO launch, you really should re-evaluate your stance. Also, there will be issues/downtime periodically in any MMO, they aren't going to reimburse you for that time either when they go down to patch in 6 months. So why would you expect it now? It just comes with the territory.

I don't think that they *NEED* to, or even should but it would be an awesome gesture of goodwill toward the player base. Those of us who bought early access are the most likely to keep the subscription up after the initial 30 days of included game time... I see no downside to ZOS to offer all of us a free 24 hours of game time.

If the downtime had happened on Thursday I think it would be different, but a lot of MMO enthusiasts will take a couple of days off of work for game launches and a significant portion of the first day for those who got 3-day early access it was unplayable.

o:) I think ESO is an unbelievable game so far, and all new games especially games of this magnitude have teething problems. But when the customer spends their hard earned up front on pre order, and one of the benefits is early release, but the customer can not access due to the main NA Server being down due to maintenance for such a long period (x2 so far), yes I feel it would be right for ESO- ZOS to re-emberse the server down time and add it on to the original free 30 day period. Do you agree ?

Not in the slightest, They are working hard to repair the game and all the bugs/exploits etc for US. In no way should they be held liable for us not being able to play due to things they cant necessarily control.

Yeah, they should give us in game t-shirts that say "I survived the early access downtime!"

    No, they shouldn't have to.

If they did, they should only reimburse you for the time the server was down...so 24 hours ...would be about 50 cents..... based on the sub fee.

This thread is just full of whingers, I wish there was some way we could identify the whingers in game, I'd make it my soul purpose in life to cut every last one of them down.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

I personally think ZoS should have frozen time instead of having to bring the servers down for maintenance, Its incredibly rude and I think they should time-warp us back to when the servers first shut down.
Geez ZoS, get your time travel in order before you try to launch an MMO.

LMAO was just thinking all whiners should identify themselves in game so I can tell who to avoid playing with and which guilds to never ever join.

    No.

Hey, a slightly buggy 5 day early access with a little downtime is still early access. Zenimax doesn't owe us anything for doing their best to make this a great game.

It looks like a lovely game. I downloaded it yesterday and had the time last night to make a character and finish the tutorial before heading to bed. My friend who just started playing earlier this week and I both took the day off to play ESO...And I've been up trying to log on since 7AM. I'm not saying they should reimburse, but there must be an easier way to do this.

    No.

Every major MMO has maintenance. It's normal. Get used to it.
