What the he... My apologies. Thank you for the prompt response but I think I wasn't in the right frame of mind yesterday. Appreciate the feedback though @Lightspeedflashb14_ESO lol.

Anything that does magic, fire, lightning or ice damage is mitigated by spell resists and any that is physical, poison or disease is mitigated by physical resists.

I am not sure what you are talking about when you say "armor" in a separate category then "resistance". They are the same in the game.

Unless you are talking about jewelery glyphs that give specific "resistance", this acts just like more armor though but for just that type of damage.

Which is why I wonder on the need to separate the traits like reinforced and nirnhoned. It's... Redundant in essence.

Shouldn't armor value and resistance be different in their damage type reduced?

For eg a 8k phy damage surprise attack skill is reduced by 7k armor value. So an incap 10k disease damage dealt will be mitigated by 33k hard cap phy resistance which will be a 50% mitigation.

Yes, nirnhoned and reinforced do the same thing. But nirn is better at it then reinforced on everything but heavy chest and legs. I would support a change to nirnhoned armor, since it is pretty much just a research trait right now.
. Shouldn't armor value and resistance be different in their damage type reduced?

This question does not make sense in the context of the game. They are the same thing, so why would they be different?
