Fishing Issue

I understand that everyone in a fishing pond benefit when others join in. What really gets under my skin, however, is when the tenth or eleventh player comes along and casts their line. I mean, really!! You can't move along the beach and find another pool of fish? This pool is already overcrowded, and you in your infinite wisdom choose to make matters worse?

Suggestion: Cap the fish pools. Players who along when a pool is full, will be able to see a second pool that is invisible to players who were fishing in the original pool.

I'm not sure what the answer is. Sometimes, watching these schools of players racing up and down the beach in desperate search of the next fishing pool, it almost looks like bots, they are in such tight formation! It's become quite rediculous, and not enjoyable for a player who is fishing, to then be inundated with these mobs.

I have patience, and can wait until fishing is no longer flavour of the month. But what really worries me is, bots are going to occur, like they have in dolmens. And once that happens, the chance of anyone of us fishing will be history.

Is this typical for summerset isle? Ive been fishing in Orsinium last night, and besides one other player, the pools were not occupied.
But yes, i understand your issue. I find fishing relaxing and having the pool overcrowded with people kinda takes that thought away. Not sure though if capping the fishing pools will be the solution.

It is typical of Summerset because that is the only place you can get motifs and recipes from fishing, therefore, everyone is fishing. It will die down in a week or so, so be patient. I know it can be annoying for those of us who are regular fishers.

Or when you see someone else approach the hole you could step aside and let them fish as you have already caught one or two.

Really this is only going to be a problem for a short time and even then mostly during prime playing hours.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Go fish elsewhere if it bothers you enough to make a forum thread about it

When you said Summerset, I assume you are talking about fishing in Artaeum - and I agree that there are too few fishing holes there given the number of people who want to fish, or rather farm there for the motif pages and recipes you can only get by fishing in Artaeum.

Because there aren't enough fishing holes, people have no real choice but to crowd around the few that are there. The more people fishing from the same fishing hole, the faster it dries up. The respawn rate for these fishing holes is pretty slow - which means, if you want to fish there, you'll be running up and down the beach trying to find where the next one respawns.

The bottom line is that Artaeum needs more fishing holes.
