Err actually it has been crashing for me a lot but only in the last week. My computer is brand new.

Crashed twice today, three times yesterday and a couple of times on Saturday.

Try to disable some out of date add-ons, it may impact the ESO game after being updated to v.8.0.4

It crashed twice when I login after I updated it to v.8.0.4 and played only for several minutes. Then I tried to disable some addons who are out of date, and afterwards woosh, no more crash...

If still crash, maybe there are some conflicting software who run in the background while playing ESO, try to disable them as well

ESO-Database provides statistics for Elder Scrolls Online characters and guilds. This information is collected by the ESO-Database Client and ESO Database AddOn https://www.eso-database.com/en/ Huge thanks to @Keldor for this amazing add-on

Actually, I experienced TWO crashes just yesterday... I haven't experienced a complete game crash for quite some time, but then TWICE in the same day?!? Something is definitely wrong on ESO's end. Plus, it really cannot be an addon because one of the crashes came just after I selected a character to log into.... during the initial load sequence it just crashed... so it was PRE-addon.

It’s funny. I’ve started a new play through of Skyrim (for something to do during all the maintenance) and INDEED ESO crashes more than Skyrim. The quests are suckier too. Might be time to move on. When a new GTA comes out I’m done.

But does it crash more or less than Fallout 4?

On my end, it's been 5 (!!) CTDs in the past two days ... and it started right after they activated the daily login rewards system.

Yep. Crashing quite a bit now. Getting lots of long requesting character load screens and crashes right when it changes from requesting character load to load screen. Have had to just give up and use another character for a while a couple times. Thats after removing all the addons. The game hasnt been this bad in over a year.

Had 4 crashes yesterday on launch-day for console. 3 of them doing over-land questing in Summerset and 1 in vCR last night. Based on how long i played that is par for the course for me on Xbox.

It was the usual coding error crash as well. Screen freezes, makes horrible buzzing noise, game completely closes out and I am at the Xbox dashboard. If it was a network issue I would end up back at the ESO title screen, not the Xbox dashboard.

We were told that we would see a reduction in crashes on console this update but that has not been the case so far. Since it has only been 1 day I hope what i experienced yesterday was just an anomaly. I am skeptical however.

Definitely your computer at fault. Skyrim never crashed for me unless I modded it to death. ESO rarely and I mean rarely crashes. Once a month is about what I see for crashes. This is on PC NA.

ESO runs like crap, has loading screens out of the whazoo and massive memory leaks. But it rarely crashes completely (would be better though).

I've never had any crashes with Skyrim or Fallout 4, nor with ESO until this week. However, since the patch maintenance on Monday the game has become very flaky and I've had several crashes. No addons installed. PC EU server.

ESO was running very smoothly for me until a few days ago, and it has crashed a few times since then. I figure it has something to do either with Summerset or the latest patch. (I don't get crashes with Skyrim or Skyrim SE, even modded.)

I had to update my Nvidia Drivers which the newest version was dated 6/5 (yesterday) and gamed 12 hours with no crashes. When I checked Event Viewer in Windows 10 it kept saying a problem with eso64.exe and faulting on a windows runtime DLL UCRTBASE.DLL

Prior to me updating my video drivers I was (CTD'ing), Crashing to Desktop every 2 hours. Like I said, all day yesterday no issues.

On of the problems lately is that if you don't have Geforce experience, Nvidia has been having Windows 10 update parts of your drivers with Windows patches, and that's exactly the day when my system became unstable, after the last Win monthly patch/update... It installed Nvidia Sound drivers which I had to disable, but then came the CTD's...

Thanks, updated my drivers and it’s a bit less crashy. My screen would go black. I had to fight some resource guards blind. Just fossilize, powerlash, fossilize powerlash over and over lol. BLIND.

I also have been having crashes and long loading screens the last few days. Think I'm going to roll back my drivers to see if that helps.

Game, until recently, has been very stable.
