Is it not possible to bring some variant of addons to Console. Kind of like the Mods brought to Fallout Franchise and Skyrim. Not mods Im sure something can be released in the code. Someone please clarify why this is not or cannot be done.

All addons are third party not owned by zos. So I would think it would be to many legalitys and staff to make it profatable

But so are the Mods for Skyrim and fallout.

Fallout and Skyrim mods on consoles are relatively new still, and they're all limited to existing in-game assets/data. 3rd party mods for ESO go beyond that; if it doesn't already exist in some way on consoles within the game's files, it's unlikely to be implemented.

Yuck. Adding in stuff for skyshards or similar, sure, whatever.

Adding in HEALNOW!!! garbage, yeah, no. If that’s what you’re asking for that’s a literal learn to play.

Yes i understand that but we are not talking about altering pre-set functions in the code, im simply talking about UI changes.

I believe the mods and add-ons would also need clearance by Sony, and Microsoft which I don't see happening anytime soon in an online environment. Often times these mods and add-ons require having elevated privileges to be executed by the console and the game. We would need special access, and some sort of development kit, I'd think. If we had access to system files and whatnot it wouldn't be an issue, but good luck getting real administrative/root access to a console. Some people do gain that access, but only by hacking, which gets them banned from their console's respective online environment, because they use that privileged access to cheat or steal. There's just too much liability to be navigated by either company for the investment to be worth it, I would think. But who knows.

XBox mods are NOT limited to only using vanilla game assets. That restriction is unique to the PlayStation. That said, getting mods on those platforms was the result of a lot of intense negotiations between Bethesda and Sony/Microsoft, so the situations aren’t comparable.
