Subscriptions through Twitch

If someone who already has a subscription tried to purchase sub time through Twitch, would the transaction fail or succeed, and if it succeeded, would the time be cumulative (tacked on to the end of the current sub) or would it replace your current time?

It won't fail, I tested it with a 30 day sub. You will get the days and crowns all at once even if you already have days remaining.

So, in theory any time you want to buy more crowns, you could just grab a sub through Twitch and get the time tacked on to the back-end of your current sub, while getting almost as many crowns as from just buying those?

Yep if you wanted. A few years back you could have done this with game time cards from retailers. They would stack for as many as you wantes to buy. It's really nice to have this option again.
