Hoping Summerset is Awesome! (im a console)

Fallout 76 coming,
battlefield 5 coming,
another nobunaga game...but with fallout and bf5 alone i know i can get lost for months.

without a new race or class and the jewelry grind being horrific i'm worried.

Anybody else thinking like this or am i just being overboard with my expectations?

Summerset is nice. I haven't finished it yet and I am not a fan of high elves or Raz but the land is pretty and so far the quests have been interesting.

Fallout 76 though! Just imagining walking the wasteland with my boyfriend shooting mutants and setting up settlements!

MEH, fallout 76 has way too much hype already and all we saw was a 30 second trailer. Wait till E3.

As for BF5 provided the gameplay is good ill be happy with it but ill still play ESO.

Probably play BF5 for a week and then thats it then ill go back to it every other day with friends.

Honestly It wont really matter that much active players will become inactive for about a week but thats it.

Purposeful sarcasm incoming. But did you know that human beings have this really cool ability where they can be engaged in and enjoy, more than one game at a time? I know, it's crazy. =P

I'm not at all hyped for FO 76. I remember what FO4 was like at release.

If FO76 borrows the same "RPG" conventions and *** forced farmville side project as FO4, they can keep it.

It was mentioned that Obsidian would be the ones in charge of development of it, so there is some hope of change..

Not interested in survival on line rpg, do you remember the epic flop of metal gear survive?
As for BF 5.... Meh nothing new about the same "AAA" game we have every year, unfinished and with maybe 6 hours of content

depends on what you want from the game.

Summerset's grind is actually good in that it makes you go back and play all those elements you kinda got over, everything from resource farming to fishing to daily random dungeons.

The scenery is great, and the jewelerry traits bring something new to the game.

The psijic questline is boring as hell, but otherwise they did a great job in getting players involved in all aspects of the game again.

The grind on jewellery simply means it will cost you close to a million gold or the work involved to make gold jewellery.
It stops the game removing the use of the gold vendor, and you have the bonus that you don;t have t wait until he has the item you want.

I run bloodthirsty neck and 2 rings and love it as a magsorc. I have even found on mobs that Wall of Elements occasionally overtakes Lightning Flood for total damage because of that.

Summerset is awesome.

Jewelry crafting, not so much. Leveling 1-50 maybe easy, but the research times and the crafting resources is painful. For now, it's expensive or tiresome to upgrade jewelries; much cheaper to just buy in guild stores. Maybe that's the intention after all, but I still like it that it's there as an option.

Psijic Questline was fun the first time you do it. I suggest not using any guides or map addons doing it the first time. I had fun doing them. After that, I had to install an addon because, seriously after the first time the quest line becomes an errand or a chore or something like that.

I enjoyed the Summerset Questline. Nice story. I still can't accept that was the ending, but maybe there's a clue in there as to the next chapter they are working on.

Summerset is brilliant, there are people that whine about stuff but those are your usual attention seekers(I had one complain about lack of content when they only cleared 1 public dungeon, no quests or trial.. He didn't even know about the runeboxes that drop there.

The launch is the same as Morrowind launch, smooth, nice and well-prepared. It is just the amount of people that log in will be massive. The new PvP changes make it active and fun, the new trial is very well done, and the questlines are well-made.

Taking a couple of days off work might be a good idea xD Too many things to doooooo.

I will say Summerset is quite good, I am really enjoying it, doing quest ,dailies etc, the place is vibrant in colours and alive with some different monsters with different abilities, all fun.
Also you get to see what

Mephala, Clavicus Vile and Noctunal really look like

which is nice of course. But if it is a fallout built in the same fashion as pillars of eternity..........now THAT is an rpg worth getting excited over. A return to form instead of some AAA bastardized shooting gallery. FO4s dialogue was abysmal, and while the building system was a nice novelty, thats all it was, a novelty tied into a forced settlement managament micro game.

I understand why FO needs to be made this way nowadays, bug budget games need to target the broadest audience possible. But its not my fallout anymore when i get dialouge options basically being 1.yes 2.no 3.yes(angry) 4.no(intimidate). And where the deepest rpg mechanic is how you want the kill cam to look when you land a slow mo finishing blow.

Naw... im good. But hey at least 76 will look pretty im sure.
