Where in Tamriel would you settle down?

Let's imagine, that you lived in Tamriel.

What era would you like to live in?

If you're like me and know very little about lore and timeline, let's imagine that you'd be living in peaceful era that rules throughout Tamriel.

I'd be living in northern parts of Auridon. The shores and scenery is just so peaceful and beautiful.
NB enthusiastic:
  1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
  2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
  3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
  4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

Go dominion or go home

Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

Stormhold for sure. That’s why I put my house there. It’s got everything a citizen could want within walking distance and good weather. In many ways it’s like Orlando but with smaller bugs. :)

I'd rather not live in a peaceful era to be completely honest. ESO's current era would be nice. I want to be the hero that my characters try to be!

As for location? I'd like a small flat in Dune. My winter hunting lodge would be outside of Riften. My summer/vacation home would be on the Gold Coast.

Yes I would be able to afford these because not only would I be a famous adventurer, I'd also be the best blacksmith in Tamriel. My arms and armor would be the strongest and most beautiful in all the land.

I'd live in Northern Bangkorai, have a nice cottage with a spectacular view of Halcyon Lake and the Viridian Woods.

I was so happy when Mournoth Keep got announced! ;)

To live? Greenshade, I love rural settings with beautiful big trees. Love camping.

But I wouldnt mind owning a vacation property in stonefalls with good views of the lava. Rent it out on airbnb.

I hiked over the dried lava flows in hawaii and saw where the lava flowed into the ocean. It was exciting. Just dont slip and fall like I did. Lava is really sharp and I sliced up my leg and got lava stuck in it.

Sentinel. Love the architecture and it's near the sea, with all the amenities a big port would bring.

I think Glenumbra is absolutely gorgeous, but I wouldn't actually want to live in the bog lol.

Stormhaven for sure. A nice house on the coast with a second floor and a basement (with a lock for if I need to hide). The only time Stormhaven would be bad is during the 4th era when Wayrest gets taken by Corsairs.

Ooh or maybe I'd live in a Telvanni tower. My own mushroom tower that a local wizard helped me cultivate while I find artifacts for them.

I love Auridon too. Auridon feels a little more relaxed and open culturally than Summerset, and I'd probably live in one of the bigger cities like Firsthold or Skywatch.

Or perhaps the Imperial City in Cyrodiil, for its dynamism and cosmopolitanism.

Rift or Auridon, as long as I could live in a big guard tower.

ETA: The times would be tumultuous.
One can't be a hero and do cool stuff in a peaceful era.

The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

If we don't get upgraded to a TES human, then somewhere that isn't actively trying to kill me, and isn't populated mostly by beings that hate humans... Which likely means somewhere in High Rock.

Tamriel isn't a particularly safe place for a RL human.

I would like to settle in Riften (its environment is similar to the nature of my RL place), but it seems too criminal for my tastes. Thus, Anvil (I said criminal, huh?) being very likable still is not my option.

I like Alik'r, but living there on a constant basis? No.
As much as I like Vvardenfell (especially architecture), dunmers are too prejudiced against other people, so not my choice.
So, it's either Stonefalls (which seems to be more mild in terms of political ideas) or Elsweyr (which I am yet to see)

Since we've yet to see much of Elsweyr, my primary residence would be at Rawl'kha. I love the dry, arid desert of the area and watching the sun set makes for many Kodak (it's a camera, kids - look it up) moment.

Runner-up: Hew's Bane. I love small port cities and Hew's Bane has that ambience I could get used to in about 0.035 seconds.

I would probably want to live in Cheydinhal (probably after the Oblivion crisis) since it always felt like home to me, not to be corny LOL. I also really like Skingrad though and it seems like it'd be bigger and more populated in reality ie. more jobs and stuff to do

    4th Era Elsweyr.

The coastal city of Senchal used to be a crime ridden ghetto after the knahatan plague, but after the Oblivion Crisis they really turned it around and its become a popular Resort town.

That heavily depends on whether or not you can get sumburn in Tamriel (what with the sun actually being a hole in aetherius through which magicka pours). I'd love to live in the more jungly parts of Elsweyr and help fight for provincial independence, but if I have to worry about irl climate concerns I'd probably end up more in The Rift.

This^^ I think I would live in a snowy region of Eastmarch, near a river with a waterfall.
