@ZOS_JessicaFolsom , can you explain this section of the patch notes?
The following Motifs will now contribute to your chance to acquire Master Writs:
Apostle
Bloodforge
Dreadhorn
Ebonshadow
Fang Lair
Scalecaller
Worm Cult

It implies that the chances of granted by learning full motif sets isn't automatic when the motifs are added to the game.

Also, one could infer that this means that when the motifs are added to what ever list these ones were, they are also added to the list of motifs requested by masterwrits?

Can you clarify?

    I've recently gotten master writs requiring Akaviri and Bloodforge... I know neither of these.

    Those motifs have been out for at least one major update or more. No problem there.

    The issue that players are (rightly) taking objection to is master writs that require Fang Lair and Scalecaller. Those motifs haven’t even been added to the game yet.

    Hello,

    I have been sitting on Akaviri, Buoyant Armiger and Militant Ordinator writs for ages.

    Occasionally I splash out and buy a page to clean some of them up.

    I completed Akaviri a few weeks ago.
    You have to pay fairly chunky cash to get them but it is a matter of time until they become affordable.
    I think Akaviri prices have been dropping lately.

    Just got a Scalecaller and a Fang Lair writ (on the same day).

    Cannot see these on the market. At least not for less than 100 KGP a go.

    I guess that I will just have to be patient...

    I remember them speaking about this a while ago, and I looked, but couldn’t find the reference to link.

    I think you’re reading it correctly. Meaning there is a table in the code that says to increase a player’s rpg shot at earning a master writ based on a percent of the chapters from that list that have been learned. This table exists outside of the global motif section, and they can add or remove any style they want. And it’s notmupdated automatically when a new motif drops. This table is almost certainly also what decides which motifs can be assigned as master writs.

    They’re pretty good at putting it in the patch notes when motifs are added. But it always gets buried a bit far down.
