i finally maxed out the psijic skill line last night. And I just wanted to say the skills are really cool. And they look amazing too. Been having a lot of fun with them, especially the Mending one. Anyone else enjoying the skills or have a favorite?

when you toggle mend it works on both bars :p

but mend targetting is clunky as hell and targets pets+npc's, so good luck.
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Mending is cool, i healed a couple of pledge dungeons with it.
One interesting thing - it is a toggle, but it does not "switch off" when you swap weapons. So you can only have it on backbar, but heal with light/heavy attacks on your front bar.

So it's not a self heal?

no but theres a morph that heals you when it heals a target, so double that up with mutagen and your good to go :)

I see people just using meditate at dolmens now, letting others do the work.
One would think they wouldn't get credit.

After leveling all the Psijic skills and their various morphs, *I* have found virtually no applicable utility for most of them on my Nightblade.
They have their "coolness" factors, but I cannot justify having any of them on my bars over any other existing skill.
    r1wXTbj.png
    • Time Freeze
Useless in PvE. Mobs are typically dead long before they'd ever become a problem, and the morphs arent really advantageous since theyre inversions of eachother and counter-productive in either case.
Only application I could see would be if players stagger-stacked the spells against an unruly amount of ads in a very specific situation, which I'd imagine would only exist in trials.
    • Elemental Weapon
Useless as well since it requires an extra global cooldown to use, and the 8K'ish or so DPS is not worth the trade-out of another skill. Perhaps useable for stambuilds where health recovery might be an issue, but useless otherwise.
    • Channeled Acceleration
Inferior for a Nightblade since Path of Darkness is a better option; Instant-cast, has a healing morph option (which also heals friendly players), can be chain-cast in straight lines, and is also persistent in an area for 10 seconds.
No utility in the open world given that Cowards Gear + Medium Armor Bonuses are far superior.
The Race Against Time morph might be somewhat useful for non-sorc/nightblade magicka builds, but lackluster at best.
    • Symbiosis
      Completely Worthless.
Having to toggle on/off in order to heavy-attack with resto-staff renders its utility virtually useless for a pure-healer role.
Perhaps as a "backup healing" option for DPS classes without any other sort of group-heal, otherwise clunky and inferior to other existing options.
The fact that it persists while not on the active bar is a step in the right direction though, and the aura looks cool for RP-value.
    • Meditate
Perhaps the only useful skill out of the entire line for which almost all classes and roles could benefit.
Still only most effective when combined with a Potion, and only for classes that have no adequate long-term magicka sustain.
Honestly, the only consistent utility-benefit I found from the Psijic line is the Concentrated Barrier Passive.
A nice free shield that not only looks cool, but is very useful in situations where blocking can prevent insta-death, and it can also be stacked with other shields.

Time Stop and Meditate for me...but I play a tank mostly, so this is no surprise. Its funny to taunt a boss and then just meditate through most of his attacks...especially if you use Imperium, which will proc while meditating.

Meditate tanking is an honest thing now. It’s so broken it’s funny. Puncture > Meditate > Block (maybe—depending on what boss/ heavy).

Sounds like if this combines well with Stamblade's Leeching Strikes could be quite useful for solo gameplay.

It’s not a self heal. There’s a morph that heals the caster for a portion of what it heals the target, but you can’t target yourself with it.

It’s completely useless in solo play. Good for group play, though.

I'm still playing around with them and haven't really settled on any favorites but that barrier passive is pretty damn nice for those occasional blocks you need to do as a DPS or healer. Not bad at all for a passive.

Imbue weapon is ok as a spammable skill replacement but every time I use it I can't hep but think that it's designed as a way to train new players to LA weave. :)

Time Stop is like a mini annulment for the masses with cool graphics to boot.

Meditate is there so that non-sorcs can stop envying Dark Exchange

Mend Wounds gives non-healers something they can use to off-heal. Good for those times when joe queuesallroles is the healer in your party with his double bow set-up. It also works as a single bar toggle... just like all other skills that currently have to be double-bared should. We're on to you ZOS: we now know you can do toggles that persists on bar swaps.

And accelerate is a good critical damage buff if you have room in your bars

I have to admit that possible uses for Undo at the expense of unslotting whatever other ultimates we currently slot is still a bit of a head scratcher for me. I mean it's a cool idea on paper but what other ultimate is it better than?

All in all an interesting new skill line with something for everyone.

I definitely Hate Time Stop, super strong snare in the area, and it is really slow to break free from that stun. Zerglings spam this skill.
