I do not understand why there are no polearms in ESO. They were in other scrolls games. Also they could make them function like daggers in that a polearm would give 10% critical hit chance. Currently heavy weapons is light 1 extra bonus we see in dualwield/ crit bonus.

Jamini✭✭✭✭✭Agree 100%. We need (non templar) polearms, and 2-handers do not currently have a crit weapon. This would address both issues.
Plus I'd love to cosplay as a dragoon with my DK. Take Flight + Spear anyone?

✭Why only 2H? I say, they should introduce 1H version as well, to pair it with a shield. Considering real-life advantages of this type of weapon, a good choice for tanks, in my opinion. Don't know about dual wielding, though. I saw dual wielded spears only in one computer game, which is Pillars of Eternity. It looks kinda bizarre, and I don't think that someone seriously consider to use two spears, one in each hand, to fight in real combats (if you know such examples, please, let me know).EU PC: @logarifmik | Languages: Русский, English

✭Well we do have the aedric spear line (my first char was a templar for this very reason). It´s not very realistic though (but I guess a magical spear isn´t very physics-realistic to begin with). You wave it around like a bullroarer and often with one hand.
I dont think there would be as much animation / gameplay issues in ESO compared to a single-player RPG (where it might look too weird or hard to implement long-range melee weapons). Would love to see a polearm weapons skilline split from the current 2h.2 -

Deyirn✭✭✭I'd like this too, I'm a bit disappointed that they did not release it with Morrowind and the Warden. It would've been The Bomb if in the trailer for Morrowind they showed off the Warden wielding a spear, would've been so amazing and probably made so many people happy.

You don´t have to put in a range advantage though, combat in this game isn´t really of the Oblivion-backpedal-while-I-maintain-range-kiting-dremora-to-death type. Even DW and 2h are basically the same in concept.
There doesn´t even have to be a new skilline, but it would be nice. I don´t think a spear uppercut animation would look less silly than the current sword one, but "cleave" doesn´t make much sense.. then again, we have the radial sweep silliness already.
I actually saw this thread right after I thought about making a spearwielding khajiit, alas, maybe not yet :'(
Wishlist: Elsweyr chapter with less stereotypical khajiits ("this one is a... little dense.. and loves moon sugar..."). Include new weapon line, polearms. Rehaul existing things.
