Psijic is much worse to level than Mage Guild, and here is why

Hello comrades
Even tho Psijic requires a less play time to level than mages guild. I'll tell you it much worse than Mages guild

LOADING SCREENS
The long lasting LOADING SCREENS

In mages guild you travel to one zone and go all the way trought it picking up lore books. While psijic order, the breachs are way too spread to horse your way trought so you need to port at least three times in the same zone.

This is probably one of the worse designs I have ever seen.

(PLUS: Why the annoying ad when we switch toon still up? Whose soul we need to trap into a soul gem to remove that).
“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

I used to play on console, and the load screens were killer. However, getting an external SSD setup for your console can improve load times by 80-90%. I tried it out while waiting for my remaining PC parts to arrive.

On my PC I don't even get load screens while traveling within the same zone, I simply appear at the chosen wayshrine. Traveling from zone to zone takes around 5 seconds.

The line was lazily developed and a boring grind no doubt, but I still find the mages guild to be worse. Riding around doing nothing but clicking on books...will never ever do it again on any character. It's astounding that developers could show such lack of creativity, and were actually allowed to implement such mindless dung.

This is blatant exaggeration since you get them even on a 1080TI/ Ryzen/ SSD combo. Unless you’re using a supercomputer, which I doubt.

I despise the Auger. I don't like all the breach BS. However for me it is much simpler to do Psijic on multiple toons than it is to do mages guild lorebooks. So I just turn dialogue audio off and grind it out.

The psijic skill leveling is a lazy, badly developed grindfest. Its the most boring, worst questline I ever played in any game. The only good bit is its easy and can be done fast, if you already done every zone. If not, its probably a nightmare.

Sometimes loading times can really be a hardtime even with good hardware. Myself, every now and then I get my self on a 3 minute loading time for traveling in the same zone, I hate when I miss the Dark Anchors respawn because of that.

In my first character I did it in 2:15. On second... 1:50... I don't even have SSD, lol... "Here's why". It's just not worse, it's a lot faster and not annoying as Lore Books. Specially when several books bugs and stays under beds or random objects and you can't complete the collection; specially in Cyrodil.

I disagree. Mage's Guild was brutal. Not only is it much longer (you need way more than 3-9 books per level), it's also monotonous. At least PO gives you a story and a witty talking skull.

I think that's doable. You might need to skip quest dialogue though as there is quite a bit of it between each level.

Fun bit of trivia: They are using a supercomputer, and so are you. :P

Seriously, though, the term is incredibly dated, and all, or nearly all, modern gaming PCs (as well as both consoles) technically meet the prerequisites for being supercomputers.

This can cause trouble for you, ironically, if you're traveling internationally, because things like XB1s and PS4s are classified as, "dual use" hardware, meaning you can't take a console into some countries due to sanctions, and restrictions on selling military technology to their governments.

    So, yes, a supercomputer. :P

+1. Sub 5 seconds for me porting within a zone. Changing zones is definitely longer though - they used to be 10-15s, but have blown out again in the last couple of patches.

I'm going to have to call BS without video evidence. This game has extremely long load screens. Add-ons exacerbate it noticeably, but even without add-ons, it takes a while. I have an SSD (EVO 850) and over 35 add-ons, and it can take over a minute to load into a new zone. But even on PTS without any add-ons, load screens are never "quick".

My PC is absolutely optimised for gaming. This is the only game I minimise during loading screens. Loading screens have virtually disappeared in all other games since upgrading to an SSD. ESO just isn't a well optimised game (that's not really the dev's fault, the game just uses a *** engine).

You never did the 10-20 kill 1 or the 10 kill 3 people dark brother hood quests did you?

(just a note; this is not an exaggeration, you had to do this along with sacraments and still do right now to level up the DB skill line or "passive" line and you have to do the single or 3 person assassinations more and more and more as you level up as the gap between levels gets bigger).

Complain about how many loading screens psijic has then play through the DB AGAIN from 1 to 12 and tell me that the psijic still has more loading screens. Because honestly if you do, I call BS.

Funny how nobody cared about a grind for DB or TG because there was just a couple of bogus and useless passives beyond shadow rider and MAYBE spectral assassin but then a bunch of shiney skills come along that are mostly not even that useful beyond channelled acceleration and imbue for pve and then meditate for pvp. No point using mend wounds beyond trolling or fun healer build. Might as well re-roll templar lol same effect and you're not exposed through having to toggle mend wounds on and off.

Just a note they is actually somewhat correct (the person you responded too) because you don't just get amazing performance simply because you slap a rig together often or not you need to tweak things in the registry editor of windows as well as ensuring all unnecessary processes are turned off etc etc. I am not assuming you haven't done that already, I am just saying - They are not wrong.
