Do we have a choice where to begin our Journey?

Hello there guys,
I wanted to ask some more experienced players than me, now with the arrival of Summerset, and the existence of Oblivion, do we have a choice where our journey begins? What I mean with that is whoever own both the expansions, if he creates a new character, he starts with the Summerset quest line. Is there any option to start my journey with the original story line or even in Oblivion? I want to experience the full story-line from the beginning and only some characters I had before the Oblivion seems to have that chance now...

You're too late for the original start (pre-morrowind)
You're too late for the Morrowind start (pre-summerset)

✭✭✭Unfortunately no, not from character creation. On the plus side, the expansions are not really a part of a chronological order with the base-game main story and the npc dialogue varies to adjust for that.
For the time being, if you want to start your questing in a different location, you will have to manually travel to the starting areas for each content release after character creation by using the Wayshrine system. The starting area wayshrines for each factions should be unlocked automatically on the world map.1 -

Merenwen_812✭✭✭Once you complete Summerset, you will simply need to travel to the next area. Travel to Morrowind and find the quest starters there and you will be able to do all the quests in that area except the tutorial. Same with original story line. You can do all quests except the tutorial. Sorrowfully, as of now, they have made it so you can never do the tutorial in the previous chapters if you purchased the new chapter.Edited by Merenwen_812 on June 3, 2018 2:37PM1

You lose out on the start as in the 'introduction' quest. You don't lose out on any story/quest - line.Edited by Aluneth on June 3, 2018 2:37PM1 -

Once you enter any of the base game areas you will receive a quest that will start of the original main quest.1
