Set stones of dropped sets?

We have a lot of items of dropped sets which are sometimes with not required traits. And we deconstruct them. Yes, I know about the transmutation station. However, it is different idea. When we deconstruct any set item (instead of crafting set) we can receive set stone, which allow us to craft any other item with the current set style (and yes the item can be account bound, to save balance, but set stones should be open).

The probability of set stones dropping from deconstruction can be 1-10%.

Dropped sets already grant style stones when you deconstruct them.

I routinely recon dropped sets and get plenty of style mats from them. I've got a ton of dragon scute from rewards of the worthy, but also get style mats from overland sets and dungeon sets.

So I guess I'm confused what this is asking for? If I decon dropped pieces of the new Summerset sets, I have a chance to get vitrified malando, culanda laquer, palladium, or tenebrous cords. As long as I know an item's motif, I can then craft an item with that style mat.

If i could add sets to other armor and weapons that would make my game complete then i'd never have to touch a dungeon again..

He's not talking about style stones. He's proposing that when you deconstruct say Spell Power Cure set you have a chance at receiving a stone that allows you to craft that sets bonuses into a piece of gear. So you get Spell power cure chest with training trait. You can then deconstruct that chest for a chance at getting a set stone. You then take that stone and craft a Spell Power Cure Chest with divine or infused trait.

Yes, and drop percent should be low like 1%. In this way you have to deconstruct 100 items to get the stone and create one item. For the one stone (and one item) you have to run dungeon 10 times or more. The dungeon grind will be more rewarding and we remove lot of trash from guild stores.

Other way we can attune crafting stations with these stones, 100 stones with 1% drop chance is needed to attune.

Okay, that was not clear at all from the OP. Thanks for clarifying.

    But in that case, no.

With transmutation, the, grind was already cut to manageable levels. This is an odd way to do a token system that address a need I don't see as prohibitive. Especially if its only intended as an alternative to transmutation stones. I realize I'm a PVPers but I have transmute stone coming out of my ears.

No, you would have to run a dungeon several times if the extract chance is 1%. You would have a better chance of getting the piece you want in the trait you want before you deconstructed enough items to get the "set stone". And that's not mentioning getting the item in the "wrong" trait and then retraiting it.

This sounds like more of a grind than what we have now (which is not much of a grind at all).

I would say it would be a waste of development resources.

Ugh, no thanks. This just sounds like a super cheesy way out of using the crafting and transmutation system. Jesus, the transmutation system is OP as heck and getting transmutation crystals isn't that hard. What more do you people want?

But some other can grind for you and sell the stone for 10-20k gold for you.
