bots selling gold in zone chat

Does ZOS even care at this point or are they still patting themselves on the back for banning people over a glitch they allowed in game for a cosmetic ? Even if you report them they are still there the next day selling in game items for real money . The bots in craglorn with the names “xhsishsh” and such are still going strong . Any plans on stopping this ?

I guess so . Maybe we should all quit our day jobs and just sell in game items - doesn’t seem like ZOS cares enough to stop it , just make sure you’re not wearing a silver skin while you do it .

@ZOS_GinaBruno , would like a response on what you are doing against these bots . They ruin the game far worse than anyone wearing a skin they glitched .

I'll agree that it's sad this hasn't been dealt with. While I can personally ignore the some spamming of them selling gold I can't ignore the fact that when I go to farm I run into tons of slightly invisible bots(assuming they're sorcs using lightning form). With jewelry crafting comimgbto consoles in a few days and according to the pc players here in the forums the grind is ridiculous. So when I go to farm not only is there going to be an insane amount of players in each zone farming there will be there bots to deal with too. I do not defend cheaters or exploits in anyway but if ZOS can take actions against those ppl why has nothing been done about this BS?

At this point I’m wondering if they are just not able to . Now it’s almost the norm to go to some of these spots and see a bot train .

I took a screenshot of a bot selling gold in zone chat and reported it to ZoS. I mentioned what zone and what time it was. You can even include pictures in their report function.

Happened a few months ago. Don't know what became of it, but it was my food deed for the day.

Even on PS4 Bots have become more and more viable. I would love to hear from ZOS, @ZOS_GinaBruno what is or will be done about this.

Grahtwood on NA is full of bots i've leveled three characters there and they are still there for weeks now.

I'm under the impression that the devs want the bots here.

Maing the moneysink of housing, following up with the jewelry crafting grindfest, putting moneymakers into easy, grindy and botable activities while the harder parts of the (end-)game r somewhere between unrewarding and moneysink.

Has there ever been a guide on "how to become eso millionaire" that included an activity with a "v" in it?

It would take very few and easy tweaks to get rid of the bots for good.

$ 50 for 1 million isn’t a good deal. I know I wouldn’t pay that much even if I desperately needed the gold. At this point I guess Bots are here to stay. Nothing ZOS tried was successful apparently. Sad.

Did you actually report the one broadcasting in chat, or just came here to complain? Because, they have done a real number on the bots over the years. I haven't seen an in chat broadcast since 2014, so either you were very late posting, or the, "omg the game is dying," threads are really off base somewhere.

That’s because they use 3rd party channels normally, not because there are less bots or less gold sellers around.

Not sure what you expect. If bots are advertising on shady key reselling sites and places like G2A. In game, that stuff usually gets shut down fast, these days. If you see someone advertising in zone, report that. If it's, "oh, someone joined and spammed my discord server," there's not really anything ZOS can do about it.

ZOS will ban people selling gold in zone chat. Report them. I think those reports go to the front of the line, unlike most other reports, including bot reports.

well they havent done all they can yet. blizzard has a nice handle on them cause of all their anti protocols but this game has no handle on them at all.

ZOS will ban people selling gold in zone chat. Report them. I think those reports go to the front of the line, unlike most other reports, including bot reports.

Which is ironic, because more attention on the bot trains could cut this one off at the knees.

Why do we care ? Its shady . It’s not right . It makes in the game economy sink on items . It ruins farming . It can be a pain for anyone who has to complete quests but can’t because a bot train keeps killing their objective . It can be off putting for new players . While you may have the mentality that it doesn’t directly impact you , that’s not the case with everyone else .

If there is no bots how would Zenimax ever say that there is over ten million characters or what ever they boast about.

I guess bots keep buying accounts, so one way of Zenimax getting more money.

Kidding aside yes it is sad. Ban people for their own mistakes but will not actually ban what shouldn't be in the game. Shameful. Double standard.

Gold is for sale on EBay so at this point this game is done.....after recent service issues with support

Many of us buying directly from ZOS and not getting access or bonuses to Summerset and seeing multiple listings that I reports only for more to pop back up

As in every MMO, people buy gold. As long as they do gold sellers will thrive. They make a lot of money, enough to instantly buy new game codes when they get banned (which usually happens in waves).
