The good news is, this isn't something we'll have to worry about for at least two decades, at 120 point cap increase per year.
When CP got first introduced on PTS they had a few weeks of 3600 CP for every template to test things.
The first week things were incredibly buggy, with percentage increases stacking each other to infinity so that ultimately people could oneshot each other with caltrops.
After that it was just boring slugfests with hyperinflated stats.
