What is the conclusion/tease at the end of Summerset regarding the next DLC ?

This will surely produce spoilers for the Summerset main story !

So in the loremaster stream a few weeks ago, they said that there will be a teaser for the next DLC at the end of Summerset, just like there was in Orsinium, Morrowind and Clockwork City.
Maybe I was being not cautious enough (though I believe I was very cautious) but I did not see any possible teaser for the next DLC. All there was, was this book of the golden night that explained what happened to him and that did not contain any informations I think.

Has anyone seen something ? :)

Didn't Darien write "Don't trust Meridia" in the book ?

Which shocked me a bit. Meridia was the only Daedric Prince that I considered trustworthy.... foolish of course.
But does that really tease anything ? I find it hard to believe, that there could be a DLC in Meridia's realm.

Me too, but well, Meridia may well have helped the Vestige purely to get Old Molag Big Nuts out of her way to facilitate her future plans for Nirn.

And at the end of the main quest Molag Bal warns you that there are worse masters than he...

I feel like it was more a way to write him off as a character - closing any lose ends which might lead players to believe he will come back in another story arch. The book literally says that he will soon cease to exist.

If that book is indeed a teaser for a Meridia-themed/centered DLC/Chapter in the future I think it was done in a very vague form which doesn't really lead to any speculation for us as players - since there's no information to speculate about other than the fact that Meridia cannot be trusted and whether Darien is really going away.

Meridia and Pyandonea would be my first guess.

If they are avoiding the rest of the land spaces it might be due to an impending ES6 announcement and not wanting to compete with it.

Meridia isn't exactly a goody two shoes herself, considering one of her servants...

It's possible she was just using you (like all Daedric Princes do) to eliminate the competition (Molag Bal & the Triad) so she could make her move

Kinda wonder if (and how) Darien's gonna play a part in that as well?

the Direnni ruins if you free the spirit she will fly to Balfiera Island
but maybe not but that place could be the place for a smaller DLC

Yep, it will be Meridia I guess this time. Finally.
As for the place last thing found in the game files was Murkmire loadscreens. And one thing caught my attention that some npc's were mentioning the place in Summerset. Didn't done all the questing but I guess there should be more hints like in CWC.

I hope it's a Daedric realm centered DLC. One of my favorite zones in the game was Coldharbour because of all the quests and how everything linked together in the end. I really hope to see another Daedric zone and, although the book really doesn't tease we would be going to the Colored Rooms, it's the only lead we have. Maybe we go there to save Darien?

Plus, a new full Daedric zone would add a lot of lore to the series, some we don't really have. We've been able to explore parts of the Spiral Skein, the Evergloam, etc. but I hope we get full zones of other Daedric realms. The addition of the Colored Rooms as a DLC zone would make sense and possibly continue the story of Darien and would remind us that Daedric princes don't really have a moral compass.

Oh yes ! I totally forgot about that, foolish me again.
Of course :D Thus I figured, Elsweyr may be the next one. Would make so much sense, since so many people seem to scream for it all the time. I don't want to imagine the heartbroken fans though, who claim ESO is not lore friendly and that Elsweyr coming to ESO will eradicate the chance of Elsweyr becoming TES 6.

I've lost my hopes for Summerset becoming TES 6, so they can choke on that too :) Now we can all be excited for Akavir, as teased all the way back in TES 3

I detest Coldharbour because three part map thingy. Hard to get around and so many cliffs, floating islands. And probably my most hated place Village of the Lost.

In a quest, i do not remember which, talks about the kingdom of water or the sea. So i hope that the next expansion will be inside the water, then use every existing lake within the game world, new skills and new mounts to be used in the water. Something similar was done in the Rift game, and it was not bad at all.
Also i hope in a normal operations, with 5 bosses and large size of map.

This is purely speculation but given how Mephala's Realm has been in the works for a couple of years, and most of the assets are done, it's possible we could be visiting there next. Mephala did you a huge favour in the SS main quest, and she may want to call you in to do a favour for her.

Murkmire may also be another possibility.

WoW had an entire zone that was underwater. It was atrocious. Also, I'd find water combat to be weird to do in a game that has so many ground based attacks.

The phrase about masters was the first. Then Molag Bal says something like “you have powerful ally, but do you know that she has some plans on you?”. Darien also mentions that Meridia talked a awful lot about Vestige while in Colored Rooms. So, yeah. Shiny lady illuminating any possible threat in her way and pretending to be nice. Slmost confirmed.

I also don’t think that they will kill-off Darien for good, since he, Naryu and Raz are somewhat of mascots for the alliances since the base game.

ES6 is still in the conceptual stages of development last we heard officially, which was not long ago. I doubt that's the reason.

My guess is something to do with Meridia, Balfiera Island, another area of tamriel not yet available in game. or it could be a dungeon DLC. Whatever it may be, it's still like months away at best.

Or something Daedric related as we owe favors to both Mephala and Vile.

We also never heard from Meridia again after her realm was invaded. We have no idea what happened to her after that part in the main quest. It's possible that she was corrupted, given how Darrien spoke of her.

It was also stated by one of the psijics at the end, that Nocturnal could make another move in days or in centuries. It's possible our dealings with her are not as over as we may like to believe. just tossing that out there into the theory pool.

So basing off of the Meridia stories of earlier, I speculate that it may have something to do with Hammerfell and Skingrad.

Why Hammerfell? Because they hate undeath there.
    Just as Meridia does.
Why Skingrad? Because its count (assuming Hassildor's already in charge) is a vampire.

Meridia hates the undead in any form, vampires are undead. It would explain why Skingrad wasn't included in either the Cyrodiil zone or Gold Coast zone.

Of course, this theory is pretty far-fetched, but oh well.

You described Azura more so than Meridia. In Morrowind Azura and other NPCs explain that she has an actual love for her followers, albeit a sometimes dangerous love, but care nonetheless. Meridia acts way too benevolent to not be harboring ill intent behind that glowing lady facade. When something is too good to be true, it usually is.

A Meridia betrayal is obvious. She did in the end call us all pieces on the Chess board. And pieces get sacrificed in order to win the game.
