But it has a good side as well - now a plain white imperial horse or the Sorel horse are kinda "special" - and I like to ride them.
I LOVE how fashionable everyone suddenly became.
The glowing mounts and random pets are an eyesore to me, though.

Haha ye me too. I remember with the crownstore release they introduced this nightmare courser mount, all black and fiery. That really got my *** hard. But now I barely ever use my storm atro or dwarven mounts anymore, the vanilla ones are much more beautiful tbh.
Also don't you love it, how you can always identify a newbie by his immersive appearance?
All max cp people use golden skins and trinimac shoulders even on the characters they just started leveling. Not that I'm any different mind you^^.

I spent 5 hours Saturday trying to get my Earthgore Helm. Everyone was looking pretty but nobody knew how to fight.

Yes, there were horses, but guars and all others are also cool in-game mounts that do exist in the lore. ZOS doesn't make cartoony shiny stuff, but all that looks quite fine.

Not sure how mounts made from melted cheese fit in lore
