Should they create a 4 th jewellery slot, for specialty "ring of mara"/drop rate modifying items?

At the current availability, using the ring of mara, consumes one of your available jewelry locations, sacrificing both your partners, and your own stats. If they allowed this ring to be a specialty piece, allowing you to keep this ring on at all times I believe people might use them more regularly, even into end game content. Also along the line of a specialty "item" slot, they could create a ring/item that one could equip that would say, increase your drop chance of weapons from chests and or mob's, or another for clothing pieces. Fishing, make two drop instead of 1? Possibilities of these special rings could be endless. Make them acquired via a quest reward so each character has access to them?

Both viable points but posting them together makes them compromise rather than compliment each other.

The Ring of Mara issue makes marriage honored for low levels only, and I'm pretty sure is not how the thing was intended. It borders being posted in the tech forum.

Your idea of this being resolved by a utility slot is excellent and would resolve the issue. I would stop the post there, and make a new one about your ideas for new/other non-combat utility gear.

A new slot for the ring would be appreciated. I also like the idea of having a slot for accessories which modify other things.

Expanding on your idea they could add something which gives extra XP/Drops/Gold etc. an item which has its power consumed over time and expire. Then monetise those in true ZOS fashion (with options being available in game as well as to avoid P2W debates).

It makes sense to. Plus wedding rings are worn on different fingers than jewelry rings.

Alternatively, the Ring of Mara can apply a buff when equipped that lasts 2 hours and have the buff persist the two hours once the ring is removed.
