Starting now in Coldharbour. Am I missing anything?

Greetings!
(FOREWORD: Apologies for the great amount of exposition on this post, but I wanted to be as through as possible on my explanation in order to get an as enlightening answer as possible. I would humbly like to submit that if you cannot be bothered to read such a long-ish post, then you can simply look at the title of the thread and contribute to it (if it pleases you to do so). Thank you for your time in advance).

I have purchased the base game a few years ago, and eventually also bought the Morrowind and Summerset DLC's on time.
Back then (before the Morrowind & Summerset DLC's) I had started an Imperial Dragonknight character and played to the end of the prison/dungeon in Coldharbour, but I did not really follow through and stopped playing (no particular reason, just real life and the typical lack of time etcetera).
A few years passed and now I am back to the game.
After checking out a few things I went back to my old Imperial DK in Coldharbour (^^ at the end of the prison/dungeon level whatchamacallit), and there in front of me was a so called; ''Hooded Figure''.
Initially; I did not immediately want to talk to this Hooded Figure (that was stationed right in front of me), because I wanted to get a hang of the controls of the game and checking out the basic menus (inventory, etc).
After a while, I logged back into the game and the Hooded Figure was gone. But thankfully the other NPC that was required to finish the Coldharbour tutorial was still there (the Nord Chick? that swaps places with the Prophet in the ethereal prison thingy).

Since then, it's all gone well (well besides the vanishing of the elusive Hooded Figure) and now I am back on board a ship in the '' real world'' of ESO with the blue ghost-ish figure of the Prophet in front of me, ready to chat.

But I cannot help but be curious, and slightly worried.
I know that Morrowind had added a new tutorial zone (even though I never played it myself). And I also know that the latest DLC (Summerset) also has added a new tutorial zone (that I have only recently played through with a test-run character).

So.. by starting the game with my old character from the old tutorial-zone (Coldharbour), am I missing anything?
Am I missing any story / sidestory (quests etc) content that I cannot do later on, I mean not for the sake of levelling, but for the sake of roleplaying and experiencing the content for myself?
Can I either do the Morrowind and/or Summerset tutorials with my current character in the future?
*Will I get to talk to the Hooded Figure again and did I miss anything significant (important tidbits about the story etc) by not having the chance to talk to her/him?
Basically as the title implies; am I missing something by starting the game now from the old tutorial area? If it's a bad idea to do so (for some reason) then perhaps you would recommend that I start up a new character?
(PS! The reason I went through all this, uh, trouble to pick-up my old character and write this post on the forums is because I had spent a lot of time visually customizing my old DK, and when I tried this time, the results weren't satisfactory to me. Then there is the good old character delete limit as we all know, so I decided to give my-old-dusty-character another shot, unless it causes some unforseen bugs&/problems etcetera).
Thank you again for your time.
Cheers!

    with characters created before owning summerset and morrowind you miss out on a skillpoint you get from those tutorials that zos never addressed, other than that not really.

    Chronologically speaking morrowind best takes place after the original main story and summerset does take place after all the dlcs and content released before it so you can leave those chapters for later if you care for chronology. both morrowind and summerset and all the dlcs can be jumped into whenever but some are like jumping in the middle of a game of thrones season without watching the other seasons first and plot points that happened in previous dlcs can be confusing. For example, Imperial city takes place after the main story's plot and the end of orsinium kicks off hints of the upcoming plots that take place in morrowind, then morrowind hints at clockwork city, and then clockwork city hints at summerset, and you can jump in in any order but I wouldn't recommend it if you care about quest flow

    It's weird that hooded figure NPC was there while you were in the Wailing Prison, but them being gone isn't a bad thing, cause talking to them just puts you into the Wailing Prison in the first place if you created a new character post-Morrowind.

    Don't worry you're on the right track. Now that you've escaped the wailing prison and are on that ship, which I'm guessing you're Dominion, you're going to start both the Main Story Questline as well as the Alliance Quest line. If you're Dominion then you're in Vulkhel Guard on Auridon. What you want to do is either go see the Prophet in the Harborage, or go find the Khajiit down the docks to the right who will take you to Khenarthi's Roost. There you'll begin the Alliance Questline.

    After that completing each quest will just send you off to the next one.

    Please let me express my honest gratitudes to both of you!
    The kind of information that you have provided me with was EXACTLY the kind of info that I've been looking for. Indeed, before writing a rather lengthy post here on the official forums, I googled what I could on my own, but I couldn't find what I was really looking for, at least not the whole picture, so to say.
    Despite everything, I'm still rather new to the game, but I clicked ''Awesome'' for both of your answers, needless to say.

    About the vanishing of the hooded figure; yeah, it kinda surprised me too, I mean BOTH the appearance AND the disappearance of her.. I googled it and found out that it happened to at least one other player besides me. Worse yet, one player had reported that with the appearance of the hooded figure, the other NPC (Nord girl) had disappeared instead, kinda putting the breaks and locking-in the character in the instance. At least the Devs seem to have solved that particular problem since then :)

    It is great to know that the chronological order of the game PREFERABLY follows as; ''Main Storyline'', Morrowind, Summerset, as this was one of my major gripes/fears about starting a new character from the old Coldharbour tutorial zone.

    Now the only thing that err ''bothers'' me is that I might be missing out on a single skill point.
    So, a honest N00B question if I may ask;
    Do you guys know how important would it be in the short or long term to miss out on that 1 skillpoint? If I ever make it to higher levels & higher level PVE content and/or during PVP, will I be pwned or tormented otherwise for the lack of that 1 skillpoint? I am GUESSING that it will not very likely be the case, but then again I'm quite new to the game and my knowledge of the intricacies of the high-level/meta ESO gameplay mechanics is very, very basic (to say the least). And in some RPG/MMO games that I humbly know of, a single skillpoint can be quite valuable, especially in the long run.

    But if I can reach my ''hard skill cap'' (if there even is such a thing in ESO) anyways doing any other activities in the future of my playthrough, then I recon I am back to my old DK character for real, this time. Heck! I even purchased 6-months subscription in advance, too! Heh.

    Thank you kindly again for your time.
    Cheers!

    That hooded figure is the prophet - he is part of the main story - go visit him in the harborage, like he suggested, he will give you the background story so that you will be up to date about what the main story is about.

    I've played all the DLCs and expansions, as well as every single quest in game. I'd personally suggest it this way.

    Main Story (Mage and fighter guild, harborage, and faction quest line)

    Hews Bane

    (AD faction quest line if haven't done it)

    Gold Coast

    Orcsinium

    (EP faction quest line if haven't done it)

    Morrowind

    Clockwork City

    Summerset Isles

    then maybe DC faction questline if you havent done it, and Craglorn.

    This will also yield best skill points. Tamriel zones have tons of quest points to give you, tons of quests to reward quest points, especially the main story and your faction questline. I also recommend doing the dungeons, and all the trials at least once.

    a skillpoint is always useful and seeing as you are barely starting off on that character you might want to delete and recreate the character, but if you do everything one skillpoint wont really be an issue

    No need to delete the old character. Hang on to it in case you want to go back to it. It won't hurt anything to have it sitting there.

    To be a bit more precise with the Questing order, it goes as follows;

    Wailing Prison -> The Planemeld/Your Alliance -> Wrothgar -> Thieve's Guild -> Dark Brotherhood -> Morrowind -> The Clockwork City -> Summerset

    The Thieve's Guild can pretty much be done at any time and not conflict with the overall flow of events, however the Dark Brotherhood makes several mentions of future Quests in Morrowind as well as includes a few Quests featuring Razum-Dar and Naryu Virian, which means it's better to have done your Alliance Questline before doing Dark Brotherhood, cause then if you have either one of them if not both of them will speak to you in the Gold Coast like they know you.
