Summerset: Lore issue in the Colored Rooms (Minor spoiler in text)

After visiting Ebon Stadmort (or what it was?) during the main quest you need to go to speak with Darien. You can ask how he has been and he tells you how he was stuck in the colored rooms and how looking at the Golden Saints were fun at first but he had had better conversation with flying rocks.

However, Golden Saints are Sheggorath's daedra in Mania section. Meredia has Aurorans. I think there is a big mistake in the lore and it should be given the highest priority to be fixed (over any preformance issues, Cyrodiil lag and badly fitting hats in crown store)

You might want to reconsider your priorities if you believe this to be more important than being able to play the game.

sorry for the spoiler, I'll change it. though I think anyone who has been reading lorebooks already knows who is in the colored rooms.

we all know already that badly fitting hats are always the highest priority bugs to be fixed.

I agree that this is probably a mistake (although it's probably too late to change now, as they'd have to bring back the voice actor), but there are possible explainations: There's nothing that says there aren't Golden Saints in Meridia's service; lesser Daedra are free to serve whomever they please, and some Golden Saints may very well have left the Shivering Isles in favour of the Coloured Rooms – Dark Seducers are found in many Daedric realms aswell. There's also the possibility that Darien is simply unfamiliar with Aurorans, and therefore mistakes them for the more common Golden Saints.

Daedra are not exclusive to one Daedric Prince. Sure, the Aureals are traditionally depicted as Sheogorath's creations, but then again, weren't the Daedroth Molag Bal's creations? Why were they in Mehrunes Dagon's deadlands during the events of TES IV? What about the scamp, dremora, and clannfear, all of which are traditionally Mehrunes Dagon's creations? All three appear on Molag Bal's side during the events of ESO.

Golden Saints being in the Colored Rooms does not have to be lore breaking. Just because they traditionally belong to Sheogorath doesn't mean other Princes can't have them.

In universe, Darien probably can't tell the difference between a Golden Saint and an Auroran. Aurorans don't seem to manifest on Nirn very often, and most NPCs are pretty clueless about daedra in general.

Knowing Darien, he probably saw some Aurorans, thought they were attractive, and figured they had to be Golden Saints because those are the 'pretty golden lady' daedra.

Well, they are the same color.
Besides, Darien wasn't acting like himself... He tried, but he never quite got there

But what if (probably not) Aurorans are similar to Herma Moras Seekers who were mortals who stuck in the Colored Rooms and slowly began to change (like Darien explains) so Golden Saints are the basic servants of Meridia, and Aurorans are former worshippers or champions of Meridia (like Umaril but he is different)
