I must say between playing wow, ff14, gw2 and Eso this game has such a great community.

I remember when I was pretty new to the game I didn't have traits learned yet to craft an armor I wanted. I asked in chat if someone could make it for me. They asked what style I wanted and asked what tier I wanted. I remember I was a bit broke so I just asked for epic as it's all I could afford.

Shortly after he sends me the armor in legendary by mail with a message saying on the house I had a few extra crafting supplies. I thought that was extremely nice and helpful. Any time now when I'm in game if I see someone who needs the same I always try to do it for them to to try to spread the same cheer.

Any time I'm trying to do one of the world bosses I can't solo and post in chat within 5 minutes I always have 2 or more people right there ready to help.

Any time I have a question and post on the forums I typically get a fast answer that's helpful and answers my questions.

This awesome community has helped me and I'm always in game trying to help others constantly when I can.

Who else here has wonderful stories to share?

I think so to it's a wonderful game that we have offered. You can tell there's heart and soul in game? Think reality could hire some of these for balance though? :p Though guards are brutal...murder in sight is this how it was done so well? :o

But yes we hope you continue, to find many wonderful things and enjoy your adventures! Also report back your tales as forums could use such delights on occasion.

Agreed, one of the things that has kept me around for years is ESO's (in-game) community. It's also pretty important to realize early on that forum posts don't really represent the true nature of the community. Most people come to post on the forums when something is going wrong or they're otherwise not in game having fun. It's pretty easy to spiral into negativity here, but that's just how forums are. The community in-game is actually really helpful and great!

Back on topic, when I was a wee noob I didn't know anything at all and more importantly, I wasn't aware of how little I knew. I thought light and heavy attacks were completely pointless - only to be used if you run out of resources and are waiting for them to recover. I didn't know anything about damage scaling or even dps meters and such. The base game UI doesn't really show you much and it makes it pretty difficult to figure out everything on your own.

I've always enjoyed PUG dungeons and I've met a lot of great people through the dungeon finder who've patiently taught me mechanics, rotation tips, even introduced me to guilds to get more help. The dungeon finder gets a lot of salt on these forums, but I'll always have a soft spot for it because of the people I've met in there who went above and beyond with their guidance. Now that I'm well above cp cap and doing end game content, I still like to go back to the dungeon finder to help the community the way I was helped before, and hopefully make a positive impact on the way the dungeon finder is viewed here.

FF14 ppl's are a bit too cute to creepish in my opinion, always helpful people though. GW2 meh...and SWTOR gross teenagers and toxic people for no reason. LOTRO had a very nice community, and lots of hmm...lore elitists. I have to say ESO has the best balance of all of them.

It is true ESO is a good mmorpg with a good community. People are not playing the other mmo's out there if they disagree. That does not mean there are not snots and trolls. People are people. Just a lot of good players here as well. Older people. Those who played Skyrim or Morrowind. People invested in the history and lore who have chosen not to burn out.

I am personally invested in the vampire culture. I do not have another supernatural / preternatural player-to-player disease infestation game to play. I was in Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen before ESO and it had a few interesting aspects but lacked vampire contingent. So here I am politely and kindly sucking your soulz out and making you reverent revenants. (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ)

Luckily I'm not a PvP player. Any game with a versus option always has those people that get a bit to competitive and ruin the game. Heck paladins, overwatch and league of legends in unranked games I have met some of the nastiest gamers ever.

So this one time I saw a level 10 in Vivec. I killed him immediately but I am a nice guy and I felt a little guilty, so I didn't tbag him.

Glad to see there's others like me playing the game. :)
