Helm Destructed - Blacksmithing

Several times yesterday I noticed that my equipped helm got destroyed when refining ore. Always happened on the initial visit to the Blacksmithing Station.
I asked my mates if anyone noticed this, one other agreed.
I expected to see something in the patch notes and did not.

Are you sure you just didn't lean forward to far while refining and it fell into the forge?
Sounds like Dead Island crafting tables have come to ESO. Accursed Legion

Atyx✭This has been happening to quite a few people lately, it just seems to be a bug. My advice would be to take off your helm and throw it in your inventory before you start at the station, until they get a patch up. (Which may be this maintenance today.)1 -
This happened to me too. =/ Oh well, not too big a deal I guess. Thanks for the advice on removing my helm. I'll try that so that it won't happen again hopefully.0
