So that's it? That was the looming conflict that we've been waiting for since the Varen warned us about it at the end of Orsinium? This is what we've been working towards all throughout Vvardenfell and Clockwork City? This incoherent, anti-climactic, messy and plot-hole-filled disappointment is the conclusion we get to almost 3 years worth of story-building? Summerset is an embarrassment to the TES legacy.

Ugh, I'm so done with this game.

Yeah, it was pretty anti-climatic. The zones were pretty though so that's all that matters.

If it’s really terrible I may just swap to Bless or back to FFXIV (the latter does story really well).

Nocturnal is gone but that's definitely not the end. Tamriel is ruined because of her.

Nocturnal beats Mephala? Forget Clavicus, but Mephala?
The Master of Intrigue, Whisperer, Ebony Blade ruler, Webspinner... was fooled by stupid crow-calling wretch?
I do not care about Meridia and her "champion" (what was his name again?) from least interesting alliance questline (DC plot is trash).
But...
And they place Mephala statue in physical collector's edition.
Successful trolls are successful. ZOS are.

The voice acting (for Nocturnal and the sloads) is painful and on par with The Mage in Craglorn, sure.

Most TES lore is incoherent, messy and filled with holes, so I guess they got that part right. Weirdest part for me was probably one of the things Nocturnal says after you kill a geyser, something like "I've survived worse than this". Why would an immortal daedric prince who has been around since before the dawn of time bother saying that, she's literally survived everything?

I think Morrowind was the only good TES game in terms of story and lore. Parts of ESO are quite good though, and I've enjoyed most of the quests in Summerset.

Yeah IIRC it wasn't 'the Three Banners War is over' so much as 'this time the Alliance leaders were willing to band together against the Daedric threat instead of making the Fighter and Mages Guilds do it'.

I hated that so much of the plot hinges on the Psijic Order grabbing the idiot ball and refusing to let go.

And there's Rigurt.

There's definitely at least ceasefire. And Rigurt talks about the very end of the war.

Summerset is great, but the stories themselves are not.
The problem here is that as much of a TES fan as I am, Morrowind was still the only one that actually had well-written story and lore. Ever since then it has been a mess. I love Oblivion, Skyrim, and TESO, but we can't lie and say it's all consistent.

I kind of agree with the Voice acting. When i first interacted Z'Maja (in PTS) honestly all i thought was what happened to boss voices like Hiath, Rakkhat, Celestials etc. Even Nerien'eth sounds way better.

But apart from that i really have to disagree. I quite enjoyed the questline and the patch overall. Sure there is always way to go, but for me it's getting better and better since Morrowind. I stated this several times in other threads but gonna repeat, hands down combat update 18 is also the best we got so far.

2. Not really, the current Dominion is not a longstanding formation, and there is a new one in a couple of decades.

I really like the story, it's very interesting! Made me wonder and ask many questions once the final quest was complete.

But oh it's far from over. For those who found that book written by Darien upstairs in the palace, after the final quest. "Meridia is a deceiver." She may be portrayed as one of the good Daedric Princes, but she is what she is. I have a feeling we will be seeing more of her true nature, how much of a Daedric Prince she actually is. This is more the groundwork for future stories.

I am very curios what discussion Sotha Sil had with Mephala and Clavicus Vile after Nocturnal's defeat. Vile clearly said that he wanted something in return once Nocturnal was defeated. Mephala was also very clear that she was not doing this to "be good" or anything like that. Their Daedric Princes, it has to benefit them in some way. Revenge against Nocturnal might have been enough, but that's doubtful.

So I am very curios what Sotha Sil discussed with those two. What deal he made or what he gave to them. Knowing that neither of them would ever settle for anything small or meaningless it can only be bad.

What did Sotha Sil agree to or give them for both of them to just back off from Nirn??? For the time being anyways...
I really wish we had seen that conversation!

I thoroughly enjoyed the main Summerset story, was very happy to see Darien again... hopefully the devs find a way to rescue him from Meridia. Even though she says he is just a vessel for her power, yet he has also grown in his own right. The book in the palace was painful to read, but just as Sotha Sil says Almalexia is a deceiver, so apparently is Meridia... perhaps those two should unite and we get to take them both down!!
