gladiators of elder scrolls lore usually fight in teams or 1v1, so why not give them some utility for teamplay and survivability for toe to toe combat?
i'm talking;
life stealing attacks that also put debuffs/bleed
traps
buffs/debuffs (think cheering or combat chants)
a straight line piercing attack that changes depending if you are using a melee weapon or staff that does increasingly more damage for more players hit after a 1.5second cast time (hurl a javalin for melee or arcane lance for staffs)
a summoned senche/troll that when activated while summoned pounces/pounds the enemy for a 3second stun
and an ult that prevents you from dying for 5-6 seconds that any overkill damage gets placed as a debuff that if healed away before ult time runs out allows you to avoid death else you die on the spot. "Spirit of the Arena"
tie it in with PvE "wave" fights for progression or 6v6 PvP arena matches for bonus progress. allowing both of best worlds, maybe tie it in with BG's tho tbh i dislike how the 3 faction crap is enforced into BG's, part of why they are lackluster, they already cross "faction" so why have a 3way?
came up with this while waiting for a download and noticed reason stam falls behind in PvE is due to lack of survivability and utility while in PvP they are mainly only good for ganking and never teamwork, so figured introducing a new type of "detonation bomb" ability that is channeled means it cannot be used by "zergs" while allowing people to help combat them from a range even as a stamina build, the pet is to allow a less class/build bias pet while giving classes who lack a CC access to a new one.
